Pedro's began humbly in Los Gatos on November 29, 1972, with just twelve tables. It quickly gained a devoted following, leading to two expansions. The Santa Clara location, planned for two years, opened on May 13, 1980.

Pedro’s Restaurant is a testament to hard work and dedication, offering a diverse menu of authentic Mexican dishes.

The remodel is lovely! The new menu took some adjustment, as the choices have been reduced, and some of the menu items are less familiar as entrées. My husband ordered the pozole, which was just okay, and small in portion size. I had the chicken enchilada combo with beans and rice. The plate was not at all pretty, and could have used some color from lettuce, tomato, and sour cream, just as a little garnish, but the enchilada was the best I have ever had. We also ordered chips that came with three different salsas. They are serving different salsas than they did before and only the green sauce was satisfying. One taste of the red salsa and we were done. The third dip was a sour cream mixture that was a little strange. Considering we had to pay seven dollars for chips and salsa, we wish that the salsa choices had been better .We ordered a classic margarita to go with our meal, which was unremarkable. Our server was delightful, though he was literally on the run as he was serving a large area. He surprised us by bringing us a complementary churro dessert for our anniversary. We were pleased with the total cost of our meal, and were not displeased with our overall experience. I would certainly recommend that the chefs find a way of making the entrées, more beautiful with splashes of color from little garnishes. It makes a difference!

It took us a very long time to get our cocktails. The waiter was rushing us, and they were very understaffed. The fajitas were tasteless and the sides that you get with the fajitas were tiny also no rice.

Grand Re-opening of Pedro’s! The hosts at the entrance were friendly & helpful. We were seated right away. The new decor was very inviting. There are also private areas for parties. The staff was pleasant but definitely overwhelmed by the crowds of opening. Everything took a bit longer & the bill arrived 30 min. after we were done with dinner. We expected the opening to be busy, so we weren’t disappointed & happy to return after a while. Welcome back Pedro’s!

Lots of fanfare and excitement at first. Ordered the Pescado Del Dia . The menus said the fish was Black Cod however for $36 our plates were served with a 4 oz tail of tilapia of course had we known, I would have ordered what my son wanted - combo plate w 3 chicken tacos. We will return again for the hundredth time Welcome back….

Beautifully redone. Wish they kept the burritos on the menu, but we loved our food. Just extraordinary and hard to hear our group talking
