Sleek and modern with one foot firmly in the Old World is the feeling at Perbacco. The restaurant boasts a brick wall original to the historic 1913 Hind building, with other touches such as a bar top and floor tiles made from white Carrara marble. With 16 seats at the bar and 7 more intimate tables, Perbacco creates an atmosphere for a glass of wine or a light bite. Perbacco also features 2 dining rooms, one on the main floor and a smaller one on the Mezzanine, which has the added allure of serving as "theater", with windows to watch all the action in the kitchen below. Chef Staffan Terje strives to cook the finest food reflecting the Italian regions of Piemonte and Liguria. Handcrafted, house-made salumi, prosciutto and other charcuterie are not to be missed. Seasonal pastas, a tradition in Piemonte, range from the traditional ravioli to the more exotic agnolotti. Main courses feature dishes such as stuffed quail breast, a selection of seafood dishes, and vegetarian options.

                                                      Came here for anniversary lunch on a rainy day in SF. We loved the vibe from the get go. Service was on point with good recommendations on wine options. Burrata appetizer was very nice! We followed it triangular pasta and roast chicken. Make sure to get reservations as the place gets packed quickly. Overall great experience! Good options for vegetarian wife and decently priced for dates!

                                                      We were the last table of the night, and our waiter Eddy was our friend til the end. He properly managed big parties vs. small, and last moment food modifications after the kitchen closed. Very grateful for him and the staff. Restaurant week menu was superb and an OUTSTANDING value.

                                                      We totally enjoyed the 2-course lunch offerings for restaurant week. The main course of Lasagna or Trout was very delicious. The portion was generous. Great value at $35./person. Best deal in town!!

                                                      actually, the food was truly outstanding for a price fix menu - i had a few other issues - our server was very charismatic but a few times I felt he abandoned us making me want to send a search party = however, given the circumtances he was a superstar = (they were busy busy busy) I would definitely chose this as a dining desintation again - the only other issue is the HEALTHCARE fee which i thought only equated to smaller businesses - $15.00

                                                      Great food. Restaurant week is a deal. Server was great, but took a while and seemed like he was too busy. If we hadn’t asked who our server was, I don’t know how long it would’ve taken until someone took our order.

                                                      Food was good as always. Atmosphere was nice - pretty busy for a Friday evening in downtown San Francisco. Seated in a booth across from the bar and not in the buzzier (and more attentive) dining room. Felt we were somewhat forgotten about a few times which was annoying. The waiter was very personable. I just feel that, like many restaurants these days, it suffers from a staff shortage. It certainly dinged what would otherwise have been a near perfect meal.
