My husband and I recently dined at Petunia for the five-course Valentine’s Day dinner, and we were quite disappointed with our experience. Upon arrival, we were served the charcuterie board, and the server mentioned that she would bring sharing plates. However, instead of the plates, we received an ice bucket for our water, which we had not requested. Consequently, we had to eat directly from the serving platter, as the plates never arrived. The pacing of the meal was notably rushed. Before we could finish the first course, our salads were brought out. As I attempted to enjoy my salad, the third course was served, and our salads were removed due to lack of space on the table. Despite requesting a pause between courses, this seemed to go unheeded, as the main course was presented before we had a chance to finish the third course. Regrettably, the quality of the main course—filet mignon—was below expectations. The cut of meat was subpar, with significant gristle, resembling something one might find at a low end casual chain restaurant. Overall, we experienced four courses within a mere 40 minutes, which felt excessively hurried, especially given that there were several open tables in the restaurant at that time. This was particularly disheartening as this dinner was not only a Valentine’s celebration but also one of our last outings before my husband begins several months of chemotherapy. I must note that this location previously housed another restaurant from the same group that struggled to meet customer expectations. It appears that lessons have not been learned from that experience.

Some of the meals were just okay. We had 6:30 reservations and at the end of the meal they sold out of dessert options.

First time there, will not be the last. Very good experience with well crafted plates. Often places are heavy handed with sauces, seasonings, etc, thinking more is better. Petunia gets it just right, wonderful flavor without the overuse of needless elements.

Excellent food and great service! Cozy, attractive decor…a lovely experience from start (wedge salad) to main course and dessert (tasty crème brûlée).

This was my 2nd dining experience at Petunia and my husband’s 1st. Just as my first time, it was excellent. I love the service and the atmosphere. The food was amazing. I had the lemon herb salmon and my husband had the beef tenderloin, which he was so excited to have the oyster mushrooms! We will definitely be back soon!

Very cute place and love the BYOB. The waitress was great. Arancini app- very good. Great for 2 person share. Unfortunately the entrees were average. Spaghetti and meatballs were ok, expectations were low but at $29 ? Partner was not sure if it was fresh pasta. I thought the meatball I tried was good but I like a dense meatball. The porkchop- unfortunately was a failure.. It was very grisly such that I had to use my surgical skills to get the meat- tough to do in a dark restaurant. The flavor profile and cook was good. The mash potatoes were gummy and flavorless and the the broccolini was mostly stems. Dang.. I really wanted to love this place. I will definitely give them another shot as small BYOBs get my full love/respect. Maybe the second time the charm.

Service was great, even though our server was the only one on that night. The food was excellent, portions were adequate. Loved the atmosphere, and it was not noisy. No bread though... which wasn't a problem, since I'm not eating bread. The filet was one of the best I've ever had. Will definitely be a returning customer. Also easy to get to... no crowds.
