Stunning food, quality ingredients. The steak and ale pie just melted in the mouth and the fish and chips were MASSIVE. Very friendly and attentive staff members who were extremely welcoming. Would definitely return as we really enjoyed the whole experience.

Overall the food was good, however the Caesar salad had very little chicken and no anchovies, which were stated on the menu. The roast dinners were good overall but the Yorkshire puddings were so overdone they were inedible, and the waitress even commented on them when she collected our plates but offered no apology which was disappointing. The pub was very busy so there was a good atmosphere. The desserts were faultless, absolutely lovely. A good visit overall but just slightly disappointing in some areas, and for the cost of the meals we would’ve just expected slightly more.

Lovely pub and great atmosphere. The food was good, although obviously mass produced given the speed it came out at. This pub is part of a large chain and the food reflected that. We’d probably return though.

I dined here on New Year’s Day with my husband and two friends. We were looking for somewhere dog-friendly that did good food and Pooley Bridge completely fitted the bill. We had a great table, lovely food and friendly service. Thank you.
