Potente is a sophisticated and upscale Italian restaurant located in downtown Houston led by Executive Chef Danny Trace. Every dish is locally sourced and uses only the highest quality ingredients. Try our chef favorite homemade pasta with black truffles shaved table side, petite filet with pistachio gremolata and homemade desserts sure to delight!

Our attire is relaxed formal. Shorts, hats, sneakers, torn clothing and sweat pants not permitted.

This is a great place to celebrate an event. The food is top notch and service is on point. They never leave your glass empty with wine or water. I will definitely be back for other days of celebration.

We always enjoy ourselves at this restaurant. This time we experienced less than great service from our waiter who gave off an arrogant attitude and wasn’t very accommodating. We were rushed to order our food and the vibe was just off. The food was amazing as always and we will definitely return but hopefully have a different service experience.

Everything was perfect. The attention from the staff was well beyond expectations and the filet was undoubtedly on of the best steaks I have ever have. If you’re looking for a perfect spot for a date night with your someone special - give Potente a shot.

My wife and I had an incredible dining experience at Potente for our anniversary! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was elegant and inviting. Our server, Jose, truly elevated the night with his attentive and friendly service—.The carpaccio, pasta with wild boar and rabbit were outstanding and the filet was buttery smooth. Looking forward to return.
