The worst food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. First, they advertised that Christmas Eve would feature the traditional Feast of the Seven Fishes. It was not on the menu. The server said, “Yes, several people have asked about it, but we don’t have it. Let me get the manager.” The manager came over and said, “We don’t offer a specific prix fixe menu for the Feast of the Seven Fishes. Instead, you can order seven different fish dishes because we have a variety of fish on the menu.” In other words, it was a bait-and-switch. They advertised it and piled up the reservations on the basis of the traditional Feast, then didn’t actually offer it but expected people would be happy to just order seven different dishes. Absurd and fraudulent. But by the time we were seated, it was of course too late to go anywhere else. Besides, we made the reservation specifically because we wanted to experience the Feast of the Seven Fishes, an event specific to Christmas Eve. It’s hardly believable that it got even worse from there, but it did. There’s no other way to say this: the food was inedible. The bacon-wrapped scallops (of which there were only four) were overcooked and tough, and the maple sauce did nothing to help. We didn’t finish them, which is an unheard-of experience for us. The beet salad was drowning in balsamic vinegar—our lips and cheeks actually puckered when we tried to eat it, so we sent it back and didn’t get anything to replace it. Our entrees were similarly bad. The cod was unseasoned and the champagne sauce had clearly not been cooked long enough for the alcohol to burn off and develop the other flavors. Lobster won-tons were so lacking in lobster filling that they looked, and tasted, like flat cardboard. The seared tuna was uncooked—not seared, only rolled in sesame seeds. The service was also troubling. We were not given bread until we asked for it when the appetizers arrived at the table. We were not offered a dessert menu. In a word: terrible.

Our server Kaylah was personable and so friendly. We were treated like family. It added so much to our dining experience. All of the wait staff and servers were excellent. Top notch service. It’s a small venue and the patrons seated behind us were very loud. The food was some of the best in flavor and quality that we’ve had in a long time. The filet was outstanding and cooked perfectly. Lobster gnocchi, next level. “Appy hour” specials an added bonus! Highly recommended.
