Punta Corcho takes its name from the old title of what we now know as Puerto Morelos, in the Riviera Maya. Founded in 2015 by chef Daniel Ovadía, it became his first project in the region, bringing a passion for fresh and creative cuisine that pays homage to the culinary richness of the Caribbean.
The menu offers a vibrant reinterpretation of seafood flavors, highlighted by the use of artisanal methods that add a unique smoky touch to each dish. Wonderful spot! Great, innovative food - Mexican fusion. Beautiful setting close to the shore beside the central plaza. Attentive and friendly service. A little bit pricey, especially the drinks.

OpenTable messed up our reservation the day before and changed it to a five person reservation vs the original two person reservation made in January. I still had the original email. The host looked up my communication and then set us at a table for two, right by the entrance and live music (set up to be heard by people further into the restaurant—loud, for a romantic dinner for two) and made us feel like it was our error. Waitress was knowledgeable, but not overly personable. For a Michelin restaurant (understood it’s a different rating), we expected better service and food. Food was good, but not outstanding. Better options in Puerto Morelos.

Food was so good! And prices were great! Service was a little off - waiter forgot an appetizer that we ordered and service was a little slow. But the food and atmosphere made up for it!

Todo estuvo muy bueno, pero el pescado que pedí tenía una mezcla de sabores muy rara, no sabía nada bien, pero fueron muy amables y no nos lo cobraron Por otro lado no deberían permitir que los niños anden brincoteando por todo el restaurante Un poco excesivo en sus precios
