Purple Café and Wine Bar pairs a global wine selection with a menu that combines classic American styles with seasonal Northwest ingredients.

We feature an expansive menu ranging from artisan cheeses, starters, soups, salads, sandwiches and pizzas to pasta and seafood. We take a great deal of pride in utilizing the most fresh and local ingredients.

On the wine side of things our wine list features over 80 glass and 600 bottle selections. Over the years our wine program has been recognized with various accolades that include an "Award of Ultimate Distinction" from Wine Enthusiast Magazine and being named "Best Wine Bar" by Evening Magazine's Best of Western Washington Viewers Poll.

    I had waited 5 years to get back to my favorite Seattle restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, service was just right, and I still love the style of the decor. I wish we had one in San Diego.

    From the time we got to the hostess stand until we left everyone was absolutely incredibly nice. We ordered the baked Brie and gewurztraminer. Both were delectable and paired perfectly together. We can’t wait to come back again. One of the best highlights of being in Seattle.

    From the moment you enter the heavy doors of Purple, you are greeted by the column of wines and a wonderful staff ready to prepare you for a delicious and exciting meal. So many beverage and food choices to make. But I am always impressed by the knowledgeable bartenders and wait staff who are always well versed in giving info and suggestions to diners. Absolutely, one of my favorite destinations for dinner downtown.

    The baked Brie was excellent. Ordered the prawn pasta. Wasn’t my favorite but suggested by the staff. The short rib dish was delicious and enjoyed by the other guests along with the chicken sandwich. Great place to go after or before the 5th as it is very convenient. I will have to try again.

    First experience in downtown Seattle . Vibrant place…popular, busy, engaging. A little mix-up with one salad order, but that was smoothly corrected. Great staff,…hostess, waiter, and food carrier. Wonderful food and great wine, a memorable hour-plus. Thanks.

    Our meals were top notch. I had the roasted cauliflower and my husband enjoyed the lamb chops. Both were delicious. The only negative comment we have is that it was unusually cold. We even wore our down parkas during dinner because we were uncomfortable.
