   Best Puerto Vallarta dining experience in our two years of living winters here! I had the risotto (perfection) and my partner had short ribs (he was lost in its deliciousness!). Great Mexican wines (by the bottle- didn’t try the by the glass ones). Lovely rooftop setting with modest views and ocean breezes. Attentive service, and unique extras (fresh baked brioche with herbed butter to start, and a gratis cornflour cake with superb chef-made ice cream & fresh raspberry coulis at the end), it was a very positive, and worth the modestly premium prices.

   Great customer concern. Friendly welcoming vibe. Lovely, clean well-appointed environment. Nice attention to detail. Food was excellent, served nicely, but slow service. Interesting eclectic menu.

   We had a wonderful experience at Raiz y Maleza! From the moment we walked in the we were greeted and welcomed. Rudolfo explained the concept of the restaurant and gave us a tour on the way to our table. When we reach the second level we received a delicious complimentary welcome drink. We were seated at a lovely table on the rooftop. The restaurant is beautiful and very clean and the service was excellent as well as the food. I would definitely recommend trying Raiz y Maleza!

   We were the only ones in the restaurant. The service was very good. They gave us a little drink to start and some nice bread with some corn butter. My sister and I had the risoto. The presentation was nice but it wasn’t that hot and wasn’t quite what we thought a risotto should be. My husband had the mole dish and he sent it back because it wasn’t hot and when they brought it back it still wasn’t hot. They gave us a nice drink at the end to compensate. Overall is was a very nice atmosphere but the main dishes were lacking a bit for the price.

   Great dining experience. Shrimp risotto and mole pork enchiladas were very nicely prepared. Portion sizes were generous. Cocktails were a combination of fruits, herbs and alcohols, not too sweet, and enjoyed by all. My dinner was delayed a bit but the restaurant offered free dessert to compensate for any inconvenience.

   The menu was terrible. Last year we went three times and loved it. Something had to have changed. We ordered four things. They were all cold. Not warm. Had a hamburger as one person could not find anything on the menu and thought it would be safe. Besides being cold, it was mushy with no taste of beef. It also must have had filler and onions ground in. Communication was difficult. Service very slow. One and DONE.

   We were quite disappointed that the menu online was totally different from what we experienced. Many did not eat meat and we were looking forward to a vegetarian tasting menu. There were two mushroom choices which didn’t make sense. The food ended up being very tasty, but the service was very slow. It took a long time to get the cocktails made. You have changed the menu online, but I still see the option of tasting menus. It’s a lively restaurant with a nice ambience. Thank you. Mona
