Good value set menu lunch. Service was efficient and friendly. Restaurant was quiet the day we were there (Monday afternoon) and although my friend and I sat over an hour after our lunch was finished, staff did not hurry us to leave which we appreciated.

My wife and I were looking forward to Ralph and Finns. Things started well with the look and feel of the restaurant but things started to go downhill when we were told two of the main meals were not available - Seems a pie and chicken are hard to come by early on a Friday night. The starters were ok, although mayonnaise was an odd "sauce" for the haggis bon bons. I ordered slow cooked ox cheek for the main, when it arrived I thought they had mistakenly given me an ox hoof - It was that tough! I complained and was offered an alternative meal, so I ordered a burger which was ok. My wife ordered the Shetland cod that had been overcooked. In summary Ralph and Finns flatters to deceive, it's a lovely looking restaurant, the staff were attentive but the quality of the food or its cooking let it down, so much so that this was the first and last time we will visit this restaurant.

Visited with my husband he had 3 courses from market menu felt main meal portion could have been a little bigger. I had 2 couses from A La Carte, all food was excellent and couldn't fault the service. Very good experience.

Cheeseboard and wine were fantastic. Upgraded to the boujie wines for £5pp which was a good shout. Only downfall which is nitpicking was the wait for a server after we had finished wasting and drinking. But we weren’t in a rush, so wasn’t a big deal
