   The ambiance is dull and very much like coffee shop diner with a musician that’s a bit loud. The place seemed popular and you need a reservation to get a table. When we arrived multiple tables were available and we were offered a table by the front door with a long line for the hostess. We were a party of two and sitting at a four top. We asked if we could be seated further away from the front door and away from the musician. The hostess rolled her eyes and said no because there would be another reservation after we ate at our table. I did not understand and sure enough the people in line behind us were seated at one of the empty tables where we wanted to sit. After discussion with the manager who also said it was because of the way open table makes reservations we did not have a choice but to remain there. To be honest nothing on the menu looked interesting to me. The waitress stoped by also and said they would help us get a different table but that she would remain our waitress. The waitress was nice but not the manager or hostess. We decided to leave and I am so glad we did because the next place we went to that was popular sat us and the food was excellent!

   Kristin was or amazing waitress. The fire shrimp is soooo Good. I had the halibut and it was not dry and really good and my husband had the steak and it was so buttery. Great music and vibe

From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for an unforgettable meal. Our server, Kimberly, was an absolute delight! Her infectious personality and genuine passion for the menu made the evening even more enjoyable. She offered fantastic recommendations, and her humor and sweetness made us feel right at home. It was evident that the entire team was committed to excellent service, as other servers frequently came by to refill our water—such a thoughtful touch! Now, let’s talk about the food. Wow! We started with two appetizers: the Ahi Tuna Nachos, which Kimberly highly recommended, and the Firecracker Shrimp. Both were nothing short of spectacular! The flavors were incredible and left us wanting more. For the main course, I opted for the Wagyu Burger paired with a refreshing Prickly Pear Margarita—an absolute must-try! My fiancé went for the Carbonara, and I’ve never seen him finish a meal with such enthusiasm! He devoured every last bite, which speaks volumes about how delicious it was. We were so stuffed by the end of our meal that we couldn’t manage to try the blueberry cobbler, which we had heard rave reviews about. It’s definitely a reason for us to make the two-hour drive back! Rascal Modern Diner has officially become our go-to spot for our trips to Sedona. Amazing food, stellar service, and a welcoming atmosphere make this diner a hidden gem.    We received the most unbelievable hospitality and service. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were all amazing, too! Thank you again and we will definitely be back soon! We’ve already joked that we have to come back to Arizona annually now just to experience this again.

   Kristen our waitress was fantastic she was very helpful by putting cocktails in perspective in a scale of sweetness and sourness, that and her impecable service were the best thing I've ever experienced in a restaurant, the live music was very good too, coming to the food it was amazing the beef steak was super tender and the salad had a lot of flavor...one of the bewt things foodwise were the sishito peppers yum!

   I always come here when in Sedona. Amazing service and food. Normally, I do not like hotel restaurants. But Rascal is a hidden gem. I’ve heard from locals that this is one of the restaurants that they often frequent. They have both a great dinner and lunch menu. The staff are SO attentive and helpful. The kind of service you receive at Rascal is hard to come by. I will continue coming here and bringing family/friends along with me each time I visit Sedona.
