   I enjoyed a rare for me midweek lunch at Rasoi. I had been craving a dosa, and today's did not disappoint. I prefer to order it plain, accompanied by a side of vegan saag. It was thin and crisp, perfect for scooping the exquisitely spiced greens. Accompanied by delicious lentil stew and tamarind chutney (I avoid coconut) and my must-have Rasoi green salad, the meal was everything I needed after a busy morning. A pot of Bhudda's Dream tea, another obsession, rounded out another great meal at Rasoi. As always, the congenial and efficient staff were impeccably warm and attentive. They got my vote in the Valley Breeze "Best Indian" restaurant category. They are, in my opinion, THE best restaurant in RI.

   We had an exceptional meal here, and the waiters were so good helping us choose since we were not well versed on Indian food. I will definitely be back here, I’m craving this food right now!

   I have been dining at Rasoi since it opened in 2006. Vegetarian at the time, my go-to choices were soup, salad, and naan for lunch and kofta at dinner. I've been vegan since 2015, and though there are a number of vegan dining options locally (some in the same strip mall), none can compare to Rasoi for wonderfully friendly and skilled servers, deliciciously complex flavors, and overall genuine hospitality. For years, my favorite meal had been the Saturday vegan buffet, a sumptuous and varied assortment of salads, both tossed and composed, idli, vada, sambar, dal, 3 entrees not on the usual menu, brown and basmati rice and a dessert. Oh, and let's not forget the meal included a freshly made mini potato dosa! The pandemic's interruption of in person dining put the buffet on hold. When the restaurant reopened, supply chain issues made some items unavailable for quite some time. The reintroduced buffet was still delicious but scaled down out of necessity due to continued unavailabily or cost. Eventually, the buffet went they way of many great things. I have mourned its passing but have never felt the desire to dine elsewhere. All of my favorites are still available, the greatest difficulty being that I often dine alone and choosing is so difficult because EVERYTHING is so good! I had started ordering way too much food to create my own "buffet" experience--and the next best thing to dining at Rasoi in person is Rasoi leftovers. If you are still reading this review, get ready for a new rave from me--the Saturday vegan thali! This combination has replaced the buffet (there is a version for omnivores on Sunday), and it's price tag hardens back to that of the pre-pandemic buffet. Not only is it a fantastic value, but it has all the variety of flavor and texture I seek. I have some additional dietary restrictions that make several of the items on the thali, including the dessert off limits for me. But this is Rasoi, and substitutions are not a problem! I LOVE Rasoi!

   Rasoi is always a delightful experience from first greeting to last goodbye. The staff are friendly, gracious, and efficient and always happy to accommodate special requests whenever possible. Today, I had lunch with 3 friends from 3 generations, 2 vegan, 2 not. We all found delicious options on the varied menu while sharing pots of Bhudda's Dream tea. I want to note in particular that I have fallen in love with the Saturday vegan thali. Unfortunately, I cannot eat coconut and am also diabetic so asked for substitutions for the items containing sugar and coconut. These were made, much to my delight! I name these in the photo to follow. Thank you, Rasoi!

   I only had time for a very quick bite, so I chose things I love but don't take much time yo prepare. The only disappointment was that I couldn't linger over several courses and tea...something to look forward to next time!

   Always great food here. Some staples of Indian restaurants, some a little different. Had an excellent lamb biryani. The service was lightning fast and attentive despite the place being packed and noisy. A bit pricey at $50 a head with an appetizer and no alcohol BUT portion size led to large take-home haul of delicious leftovers!

   I love this place the food is fresh and authentic as spicy as you want the the naan is made to order. Love the home mad pistachio ice ice cream

   I adore Rasoi! The food is outstanding and they’re so nice! I always get the saag paneer and a mango lassi. It’s consistently great. I live 45 minutes away but still make it to Rasoi about once a month. It’s in an interesting plaza, too.

    Went for Late lunch/early. Love that this restaurant has vegan and meat options so that everyone in my party has options to choose from. Food was delicious , service was great ,really fantastic experience.
