   Food selection is good. Wiish they had an omelet bar and a salad bar, or at least some kind of vegetable.

   The entire experience was excellent with the exception of their being out of the prime rib at 6:00 pm. Will definitely go back!

   We’ve made going to Rays a yearly Christmas Eve tradition and this year was unfortunately not a great experience. We had a 7:30 reservation and waited until 8:30 to be seated. There were no apologies or acknowledgements just matter of fact we are behind. The server only came a few times once seated and we had to request the same things multiple times. My steak was room temperature and average at best and the lobster Mac and cheese was only warm not piping hot. We will not be going back next Christmas Eve.

   We have been going to Rays for many years and it’s one of our favorite places. But it was our first trip since it changed management. We arrived 15 minutes early for our 7:30 reservations. However, we were not seated for almost an hour. This was odd because there were a good number of tables open. There seemed to be a disconnect about getting people seated. While we waited we went to the bar area to get a drink. They only had 3 bartenders to take care of the entire bar area as well as all the bar tables. They needed 1 or 2 more. It took a long time for the bartender to take our order and then longer to actually get our drinks. He kept telling us he’d be right back with our drinks, but his main focus was all the bar tables. Once we were seated, our waitress was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed her service and recommendations. The food was very good. However, they did undercook our filets - rare instead of medium rare and medium rare instead of medium. But we were okay with that because the quality of the steaks was very good. All in all we still just love Rays. Great location, great ambience, servers are wonderful and we have always loved the food. I would give 5 stars if they were more efficient getting parties seated and they improve the efficiency of the bar area.

   We waited 75 minutes to be seated (80 if you count the five minutes we got there ahead of our reservation). We had a 6:30 pm reservation, arrived at 6:25 and we were taken to our table at 7:45 pm. It was crowded and overbooked. We were not the only ones waiting. The entire time we stood outside the women’s bathroom door was we waited — it was not pleasant, but at least it was away from the front door and cold. The wait time for a reservation made quite a while ago was totally unacceptable and ruined the rest of our plans for Christmas Eve. Those plans, sadly, had to be canceled. Once we were seated, our waiter got our order in quickly. The streaks were good; the shrimp and grits with andouille had 2 1/2 pieces of andouille in it and was very subpar. On the plus side, the atmosphere was festive and our waiter was attentive. Additionally, without asking, a manager (I presume) gave us a discount off our bill. Unfortunately, the long wait was a killer for us and we will not chance going back—at least not with a large group and not for a holiday
