   We’ve had a really enjoyable evening at the Red Lion. Food was lovely and the atmosphere and service was great. We’ll be back again

   Very comfy beds, nice and clean. Plenty of drinks/ snacks in the room provided. Friendly staff. We had a meal and really enjoyed the food and drinks. Would stay again.

   We had an evening meal booked for Boxing Day and the food was really rather yummy. The whole evening was lovely and the staff were all superb too. Dog friendly and great atmosphere

   Christmas Day food was quite nice but not really worth the money. The main problem was the service, there wasn’t any so won’t be returning.

   We booked a table for before 7pm. Food was great and served quickly. We had steak and ale pie, burgers and apple and raspberry crumble - all very filling and delicious! Staff friendly yet professional. Felt like a quaint countryside pub, with classic wooden interior. Appreciated the dining area being a dog free zone.

   Very average all around. Order at the bar - we didn’t realise and were not informed to do this. Only just made it before 2000 cut off after asking, No ham hock. Had mushrooms, burger, Camembert and suet pudding on our table. £50 and would not reorder any of them. Ambience stuffy - couldn’t wait to get outside - in fact we left our drinks to do so. It was a birthday dinner and it’s not the venue for this kind of special event. It’s an average venue in a beautiful location.

    It was a lovely quiet meal which we hoped for midweek and food was hot lovely and plenty for us staff were very lovely and helpful too def recommend
