I have eaten at so many hibachi restaurants this is by far the worst I have ever had. The food was flavorless and all the food had a yellow product which I thought was butter on it which again was tasteless and to be honest gross. I would not go back again. And it was more expensive than most places of this type of food.

Extremely Disappointing Dining Experience at Ron of Japan I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the dining experience my family and I had at Ron of Japan, which was, by far, the worst I have encountered in my 23 years of visiting your restaurant. We had high expectations for a special occasion, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short. Upon arrival, we were not greeted at the front, and it took some time before we were seated. Once seated, we waited for 25 minutes without any interaction, and no water was offered. We had to ask a busser to inform our server that we were waiting. After placing our drink and food orders, we waited an additional 15 minutes, during which my server forgot to bring my requested lemon and did not explain that we needed to place a separate order for an additional guest joining us. Moreover, the service was subpar throughout the meal. My brother’s salad was never brought to the table, and my son's ice cream was forgotten. When we addressed the issues, the server simply remarked that she was "swamped," instead of offering a sincere apology for the oversight. The main course, unfortunately, was another disappointment. We waited for over an hour for the chef to arrive, and when he did, the quality of the food was disappointing. The vegetables were overcooked and blackened, the steak was excessively salty with an overwhelming amount of soy sauce, and the lobster portions were small. Additionally, the chef served larger portions to other guests at the table beside ours. To make matters worse, there was no attempt by the chef to perform any tricks or display any of the usual teppanyaki skills we’ve come to enjoy. The only "performance" was a large flame that generated so much smoke it made the chef cough, even while wearing a mask. This was particularly disappointing, as we were celebrating my son’s birthday, and he left feeling upset after noticing that other tables had received more

Experience was average the cook was Edwin Asian guy just OK you ask him to do something he acknowledges you and then does the opposite. I asked him to cook my food a little bit more well done and he does not, then he serve my wife food on my plate not sure how that happens he looks at the order ticket ten times. The couple next to me order additional food they didn’t get it, among other distractions. The waitress tries Kiki hard at work but rushes to other tables and forgets about you. Oscar the host is a great guy has been there forever listens well but average to confuse even though I told him give me a specific chef he says yes either there is a language barrier or just to overwhelming gave me the guy with new tricks and I am not there for just average I have great food great service do not mind to pay but they have to adjust to customers preferences not the chef’s choices. Dessert they run out of tea ice cream a top dessert how is this possible. A well Standish place should know the business.

Zero entertainment value- chef did no tricks beside a large flame at the beginning. Food tasted off, like the griddle needs seasoned or the oil was old/burnt. The whole place looked like it was well past its prime but was busy on a Saturday night so why not give the space a deep clean and an overhaul? Prices were comparatively high to other hibachi establishments and we left very disappointed in our meal and overall experience.

This place has really gone downhill. Seriously understaffed. Service was spotty. Food was awful. Scallops and steak overly greasy. Order of food delivered left one stuffed before the main dish was cooked and served. The only good thing was the shrimp appetizer with the egg stuff on top. We are done with this place.

Overall bad experience. Restaurant smelled pretty bad upon arrival. Table was extremely cramped. Took really long to get food. Slow process led to receiving each part of meal far apart. Food wasn’t cooked enough. Was there for 2 hours.

Ki, the server always provides the best service. This location is much better than the one downtown. The food is consistently good here. Early reservations guarantee good seating.
