North Carolina chef and restaurateur, Jim Noble founded Rooster’s: A Noble Grille with the intention of being relevant without being trendy and to impress without being pretentious. That commitment has carried us through two decades and continues to lead us on today.

Knowing that simple food is harder to execute given there is nowhere to hide the flaws, we go to great lengths to source quality ingredients from local farmers and purveyors. We then take all the time necessary to develop their flavors —using both European and modern techniques—always working from scratch.

Our menu features tried and true staples like our spit­-roasted chicken cooked over open fire as well as progressive daily​ specials and elevated Small Plates featuring Executive Chef Brad Pennell. At Rooster’s, you’ll always find something new served with an honest commitment and consistently warm care.

    Staff was nice and friendly. We waited about 35+ minutes for our food. When we got our food our food was cold excluding the sides which were pipping hot. We didn’t want to send the food back to prolong another wait. It was extremely warm in the restaurant didn’t seem like the air conditioning was on. Overall it was an ok experience.

    Wonderful restaurant in downtown Winston-Salem with great ambiance and outdoor patio seating available. The southern cuisine was out of this world We loved the bisque soup and crab cakes. The salads were great too, and the bread was home baked (they run a bakery next door.) The cocktail and wine list were long! Highly recommend Rooster’s for a great southern dining experience!

    We had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner with delicious food and great service. Another real treat at Roosters is their fried oysters appetizer, best in Winston-Salem!

    Loved our dinner at Rooster. The pimento cheese starter was a great opener. It was served with smoked bread (delicious). We had the tomato bisque which was just the right balance of savory and creamy, followed by shrimp and grits with bacon. The Creme brûlée for desert was the perfect conclusion. BTW, our server Jackie, provided first rate service as well. We will definitely be back.
