   I want to be clear that the waitress was good and the food was fine. We had a major issue with management. My 5 year old daughter was served, and drank, an orange juice that tasted to those at the table like it had flat champagne in it. We communicated this to the waitress, saw her take the drink to the bar, inspect the bottle it came from with the bartender, the manager, and the hostess. We saw the manager take a drink and make a face. About 10 minutes later, the waitress returned with a fresh orange juice but didn’t say anything about the first drink. I flagged her down and asked what was wrong; she said it was fermented. The manager never came to our table to discuss the spoiled/adulterated drink. When the bill came, they charged us for the OJ. When we left, I found the manager and expressed surprise at how it was handled. The manager, seemingly unaware that the waitress had already spoken to us about it, then said it was just OJ mixed with grapefruit juice. This was clearly untrue- I have no idea if the OJ was mixed with champagne or had just turned, but it definitely wasn’t grapefruit juice. This was also supposed to be a birthday dinner, which we noted when we made the reservation, but this seemingly wasn’t communicated to the waitress who brought dessert with no sign of a candle or song. For a $500 meal, we expected- and should have received- better.

   Not the best view in Kaanapali but by far the best food among the various high end restaurants we have visited in the last week. We are canceling a reservation elsewhere so we can enjoy Roy's again before we leave.

   A fabulous dinner to celebrate friends birthday! Ahi, shrimp, ribs, salads perfectly prepared and incredibly delicious! Love this place as Roy’s is always excellent.

   We had a lovely dinner, our server was marvelous. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was amazing (I took note of the ingredients to attempt to duplicate when I return home). Roy’s has a lovely setting.

   Ambience was nice but not up to par with other fine dining restaurants Food was disappointing. My rib eye steak was overcooked (medium;I asked for rare) and tough; definitely not prime beef which I expected for the $60 price tag. My wife ordered tiger shrimp and was served large shrimp but not “tiger” shrimp. Dish was otherwise good. Signature chocolate soufflé was not on the menu; server said they no longer have a pastry chef. Server was friendly and attentive

    Big disappointment. Roy’s used to be elegant and a special evening out. No more No ambiance -like a cafeteria. Greeter and servers not welcoming
