   The food is good, and it is upper scale dining. The Brussel Sprouts are amazing and we get the every time. I was disappointed with some ridiculous price gouging. I understand paying $58 for a good steak. But $6 for iced tea or pop is offensive. Additionally, when we got there, we ordered Brussel Sprouts to start, and because I didn't specify off the Happy Hour menu, I was charged $18 for them. The next round we ordered, I specified the HH Brussel Sprouts and got those for $14. They were the same size! The server said she couldn't change the price on the first one because she had already entered them at the regular price. This was an unpleasant experience. It felt like they were trying to run up the bill. We paid almost $400 for our meals. It's not about $4 difference on the Brussel Sprouts or excessive pop charges. It's the principal of it all.

   Went to celebrate a birthday with my girlfriends. Bread and butter was delicious to start with. As we went on to order we noticed on of the female servers was either drunk or really high. I've never witnessed anyone bring under the influence while working it was quite bizarre to watch. Her name was Alicia. The food was good but my steak bites came out rare not medium rare. Creme Brule and blueberry bread pudding were not like they used to be. Just kind of a weird experience. Not sure I'll celebrate here again.

   It was my first time dining in Salem, so I googled restaurants in the city hoping to pick one of the best dining experiences possible. I mostly eat meat, so Rudy’s Steakhouse appealed to me, I just hoped it would deliver the quality, flavor & experience that would make me want to come back. The outcome ~ I would love to return to Rudy’s in the future! I enjoyed the ambiance & my meal! I requested the 12 oz NY strip steak medium rare, it was flavorful, a little tough to cut but not dried out. The mashed potatoes were good, although they need salt. And for dessert, I chose the Peppermint ice cream, it’s pink and has yummy peppermint candies mixed in, it was soo good!

   Everything tasted absolutely wonderful; however, 1 end of my filet was grisly (my husband's rib eye was more tender than my filet). Also, sad that they were out of prime rib by 7:00. When we come back, I'd ask for less dressing on the caeser salad as it was drenched and probably order the rib eye. Our main complaint is there was no place to sit while we waited for our reservation (which we had assumed meant there would be a table ready). We are over 70 and can't stand due to health issues so the even standing for 7-10 minutes was hard, especially after walking 2 blocks. We did appreciate the way the waitress comped us our desserts since we were celebrating our 50th anniversary! However, I did have to tell her, even though it had been indicated on our reservation. We will return for our next special dinner, but hope our comments will your operation.

   Been there 4 times in the past month and they are always out of lamb chops. Disappointing. I even called before we went there and they said it was available.

   We remember when Rudy's was simply very good. In our opinion, over the past few years, it has achieved extraordinary. Our server accommodated special requests quickly and with no fuss. For example, one of us loved the garlic herb butter while the other asked for just "plain butter," please. The food was excellent. We appreciated that we were not rushed through dinner. We were able to dine more slowly and savor the experience.
