   Always our go-to for celebrations. Chose an early dinner due to having a little one join us this year. Still same great service and delicious food as always. Noah (drink service) and Grant (dinner service) were great!

   We have dined at Ruffino's many times over the years and have never had an issue. However, on our last visit, we noticed some changes that were not worthy of 5 stars like we have given in the past. We started with cocktails. I ordered an Old Fashioned. It was good, but, very little in the glass. My wife ordered a pomegranate martini. It seemed very "watered down," not as good as in the past. We were looking forward to the usual fresh-baked bread and "italian butter." The bread is now much smaller. It was good, but half the size of in the past. The waiter did tell us that they did recently change their bread vendor. I ordered a side Sensation salad. The menu stated that it had sun-dried tomatoes on it, which it always had in the past. The salad comes, and there are cucumbers. When I questioned the waiter, he said, "oh yeah, we are using cucumbers instead of sun-dried tomatoes now." I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, which I have gotten every time we eat at Ruffino's. The meatballs definitely had a different taste to them, like more of a strong italian sausage taste. The gravy recipe seems to have changed, as well. All in all, it seems like Ruffino's is suddenly trying to cut corners, affecting the quality of the food and drink. The service and the ambiance seemed like usual.

At Ruffino's, we take great pride in the food we serve and in creating a wonderful experience for our customers. We have recently adjusted some menu items to elevate the Ruffino's experience. This includes new bread from a local bakery based in Baton Rouge, revised meatballs which now include pork and beef, and other small changes. On the rare occasion we fall short, we ensure that it does not happen again. We invite you to dine with us again to have a true and remarkable Ruffino's experience.
