Rumi's Kitchen first opened more than a decade ago in Atlanta, the result of years of development by Chef / Owner Ali Mesghali. Showcasing the flavors of Iran -- fresh herbs, kabobs cooked over an open-fire grill -- quickly won loyal guests at the original location in Sandy Springs, GA and set us on pace to open our first restaurant outside of Georgia in 2020. Rumi was a 13th-century Persian poet whose words and life teach us how to find inner peace, happiness and love. We invite you to Rumi’s Kitchen where fresh, healthy food and attentive Persian hospitality await you.

Good food and experience as always. Despite making reservations the wait time is a bit chaotic but nothing to worry about. They make up for it with good service and food!

Took a while to be seated for a reservation but they comped appetizers without us asking. Delicious food. Need one in Virginia.

The food here is really great. Our server was attentive and helped point us in the right direction when choosing between some of the more unique things on the menu, and the cocktails are executed well. My only issue was we were seated near an exit door that kept opening and closing for the duration of our reservation while it was 50 degrees outside. I'm not sure if that's a service entrance/exit for staff, but it started to distract us as the night wore on.

Rude front of house staff with a very hectic and confusing entrance. An amazing server. Mixed drink was delicious. Food was mixed. The lamb merguez hummus and the grape leaves were very tasty. The lamb shank was flavorless but the fava bean-dill rice that came with it was yummy. The grilled meat was fine but nothing special and not worth the price. The baklava was dry. I left feeling very confused as to why this place is so popular and was so crowded. I certainly will not be returning.
