   Excellent service and food. Loved the Japanese sweet potato, Halibut, and noodles. Perfect place for a date night out. We will go again!

   This is a Club and nit a restaurant!!! We made a reservation for 9:30, and they gave us a table close to the DJ. Before our food arrived, around 10, the music got louder, and the crowd started gathering around the DJ area to dance. They kept putting their drinks on our table and hitting it while moving and dancing. So we ate our expensive steak in this situation, surrounded by so many drunk people around our table. The service was absolutely unacceptable. With all that crowd, the servers were not available at all, and we couldn’t even move to call them. Also, the food was not delicious at all. We got an “Australian Wagyu,” which tasted like a regular steak with a yucky sauce. We also ordered Wagyu skewers, which tasted like beef liver and were sent back.

   Had a great experience at Sago yet again. Had a bit of a problem with our reservation but Kait at the door helped us and was great with accommodating our needs. They do a great job with service and interaction.

   The ambience and vibe at Sago is pretty cool for Encinitas. They are going for a very dark and tropical vibe, dare I say It was actually too dark but if a pricey nightclub vibe is what your look for, SAGO is it! The ceviche was fresh, spiced and delicious. The lobster boa buns were really unique - all the food was very tasty. Cautionary note: the portions were a little small for the price. It was a busy Saturday night so we did have to request water a couple times but the bar menu and drinks were really creative and tasty for sure. It’s a good date night place, but trying to have a conversation with friends was a little rough - we ended up yelling. Fun, new & different for sure - a good spot for a celebration cocktail 🍹

    Had an 8:30pm reservation. Horrible service. Had to get up and ask a bartender to wait our table after waiting for 25 mins once seated.
