Way back in 1975, the Sail Loft lit the fire for Steve Silverstein, who went on to open nearly 40 restaurants. Located in the quintessential seaside village of Padanaram, it was the neighborhood place where you could get a good (strong) drink, chef prepared comfort food and relax in a convivial atmosphere with familiar faces. The Sail Loft was everyone’s favorite place; it was a hangout where some came for food and others for drink.

When the Sail Loft became available in 2021, Steve jumped on the opportunity to take the wheel. Steve and his wife Judy transformed the Sail Loft into an elevated neighborhood restaurant with a distinct updated boatyard feel. The spot is nautical with a chef-driven yet approachable menu, a deep selection of spirts and an intriguing wine list. As with all of Silverstein’s places, while the food, drink and design are always top-notch, it is the warm hospitality that keeps ‘em coming back.

Return visit. Seated promptly at our reservation time. Great server (Ashley M), attentive and courteous. Ordered the Steak Frites.... steak was delicious and perfectly "medium", Truffle fries super, asparagus perfect. Hubby had a burger and it was very good. Will return. Worth the 30+ minute drive! Very pleasant evening.

Sail Loft is a gem! It’s nautical cozy with great service, great food, and generous servings. The mussels and calamari were fantastic. The giant shrimp were … well … giant. Best of all, the service was fast and very friendly. We’ll be back!

We were seated in the heated patio on a sunny, cold afternoon. The room was plenty warm and quieter than the main dining area. The chairs were cold but our server, Kayley brought us blankets to sit on! It made all the difference and we enjoyed a leisurely lunch. The food was served hot and perfectly prepared. Well done and Kayley was extremely nice and efficient! We will most certainly return.

Even though I am partial to all things Servedwell- everything was great by any standard! It was awesome to see Carly and Jill! The restaurant was packed and fun! Carly and Jill were so sweet to me- I miss them and Sail Loft so much!❤️

Everything was wonderful. We had reservations for 5 & were seated right away. Our server was Melissa & she was great! Our food was prepared perfectly, the cocktails were tasty & the chocolate dipped cheesecake was amazing! Great dinner! Thank you.

Always a great meal and drinks 😁 service is always a pleasure the wait staff very friendly and helpful . I had asked for bread for table but they don’t offer that which is no big deal but the waitress brought over grilled focaccia bread from the manager and it was delicious ! Nice when they go out of there way to please the customer . Definitely recommend
