   Salt & Ash has a vibrant energy in a good location. It's open ad spacious and attracts diners of all ages. The food is fair, but only fair, and the prices reflect the space and location rather than the quality of the food.

   We actually bailed the restaurant after seeing the prices on the menu Something like $91.00 for the ribs $51.00 for Shepard's Pie We thought that the prices were ridicious and this was after we made a special to go to Halifax from Moncton NB to go to the Salt & Ash Went to 2 Doors Down where we are an excellent short ribs for $30.00 Excellent food and service at great value a lot of people did ask us about our Salt & Ash experience

   Service was great. Pizza is amazing. Beef + clams dish was very underwhelming & with only 3 clams. I Also had a majito that wasn't anything special unfortunately.

   The place is amazing! it's spacious and the lighting is just perfect. The service is excellent as well, they kept checking on us throughout the whole meal. Unfortunately, the menu doesn't have a lot of options, so we were limited as a big group trying to try a bit of everything. The most delicious thing was the Onion Dip Tater Tots, its outstanding! Definitely a must try restaurant.

   We had a nice evening at Salt & Ash on Sunday evening and enjoyed our sitting arrangement. The server was nice but inexperienced. The food was good. The restaurant appears to attract a young crowd. For some reason they don’t over cappuccinos.

   I got Buffalo wings and fries starter. It was very very delicious 😋, especially the fries. Then i orderd streak it was so expensive and only came with Brussel sprouts. When i asked for another side they told me i could do 1 or the other. The steak was not tasty at all. I spent over $140 and didnt enjoy my meal at all. If i ever go back ill be sure to stick to starters or maybe try some pizza, this place needs to up their food game. Not happy.

   Their pizza oven was broken so we weren't able to order what we wanted. And we weren't told this until we were seated and being asked for our drink order. The service was polite and speedy but they seemed to be short staffed so almost felt rushed. Our reservation was ready on time but there was no point in indicating the occasion through the app, the didn't give any indication they were aware of it. It was very loud and the music was even louder so it was difficult to have a conversation. The food was cooked fine but was not the level of quality we expected especially for the price. There was nothing particularly good about the flavour. The portions of what was on the plate were not balanced. For what we expected to be a high end restaurant, it ended up feeling like an expensive version of an everyday type restaurant.

   The service was good, the server was polite and professional and the manager was courteous. However, the main dish was horrible, salty, oily, smelly and not fresh. While the manager did give us a discount it does not solve the issue, the food was poorly prepared. While this place was my favorite for having fish and chips, I am not recommending the food to anybody. I think I will stop going to this restaurant.

    A very nice brunch, except that that meatloaf choice was barely lukewarm.
