   This was a wine pairing dinner and we were a group of 8. The food was excellent and the wine pairing was perfect. The dining room is a bit loud which made conversation challenging but overall it was a lovely evening!

   Scalo cuisine has varied over the years but on this night, we completely enjoyed delicious entrees, served with enthusiasm from the chef himself and wait staff - how nice! We like the feel of the restaurant - the cloth tablecloths and a neat paper overlay with the Scalo stamp; the view of the cooks at work; the airy main dining room with not-too-crammed-together tables. The menu offers a good variety, of course with an Italian emphasis, but not only. My salmon was perfectly cooked to my specifications (solicited carefully by the waitress) and served hot the way I like it. It came with tasty eggplant and yummy fingerling potatoes. Just go and see for yourself if you haven't yet, or be return diners as we are. Scalo is in our neighborhood and it just wouldn't be the same here without it.

   It was off today. I didn’t enjoy the food. Salmon on buffet was extremely overcooked. Food display was not attractive. Service could have been better. Food from the kitchen took a long time. It was an off day. I have eaten there before and it was very good.

   I took my mother to the Mother’s Day brunch last year. And this year’s food selection was a SIGNIFICANT DECREASE both in quantity, selection, and to a lesser degree the quality. My mother was too polite to tell me she was disappointed, but she mentioned it to my wife later. Will probably look elsewhere next year for mother’s day brunch.

   The food was good however , the service was so slow. There wasn’t many people in the restaurant and it took over 20 min to even have anyone come wait on us. Then it was another 15 min to get our drinks and we had to remind the waitress. Now what we anticipated for the price.

   Experience was outstanding. Great presentation, awesome service, and food was delicious. Chef came out to greet us and to ensure our dinners met our expectations.

   We had made reservations for 5 for Easter Brunch. Nowhere in the process were we advised it was "Buffett Only", at $75 per person. Our party had looked at the menu beforehand and had certain items and smaller quantities in mind. We did not want an expensive buffett. We chose to leave when we were advised of the "Buffett Only" option. Open Table could have been more helpful by putting that advice clearly on the reservation function menu. We haven't been to Scalos in years but our previous experiences were all good. We are unable to comment on the food currently as we did not dine there and the survey website will not complete the process without some box chosen. Do No Know/No Opinion was not an option.

    A restaurant that bears no relation to the pictures on its website. Eggs Benedict were not on English muffins but fairly ordinary toasted bread, and the eggs were overcooked. The rest of the food was mediocre at best. When I made the reservation, it appeared that I could choose between the Easter Brunch or a standard reservation. All the reservations, however, were considered Easter Brunch reservations at a fixed price of $75 per person for the worst brunch I have ever had. A "large party" service charge (for a party of two!) was added to the bill—this for essentially busboy service since you have to go get your own food. My wife and I were visitors to Albuquerque, and if we ever have the chance to return, we will certainly not visit Scalo again.
