Scoma’s is one of the last, true “old school” restaurants in San Francisco. Definitely the best fish / seafood restaurant. Step back in time to the way things used to be. The best service, freshest fish, freshly baked sourdough dough. Great wine menu and outstanding cocktails. There is something about the white dinner jackets that sets the place apart.

Scoma’s always offers a great Restaurant Week dinner menu twice a year: 4 courses @$75/pp. Cannot go wrong with anything on the list. Seafood is excellent, cooked perfectly and feels like a steal. Crab cakes, clam chowder, prawns and scallops, and even a dessert sampler. What a great dinner. We enjoy bar seating as Francis and Steve provide such amazing service. Thank you as always, gentlemen. You always exceed expectations with your high level of professionalism.

I can’t say enough great things about this place. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the two courses priced fixed at 45 pp. I had the iceberg wedge salad my husband had the gulf shrimp bisque to start. I’m usually a big time salad snob who rarely ever consumes iceberg but the salad was so pretty and delicious with. Hubbies bisque was delicious and well seasoned. For our main entree I had the wagyu with the most delicious assortment of mushrooms and roasted potatoes. My husband the filled snapper and deliciously sautéed veggies that I think might have been small chopped fennel, cauliflower, and mushrooms. I kept saying I have to try to make this at home. Now on to the service! Sunny was our waiter and he can and should teach a master class on good service. He was attentive and anticipated our needs before we asked without feeling overbearing. The space is a bit dated but that adds to the charm. I will definitely return and recommend this place to people in the fisherman’s wharf San Francisco area!

The hosts were gracious and welcoming. Gus our waiter was fantastic!!! We appreciate the delicious seafood, being from Lake Tahoe. We had the diplomatica and petrale sole, and crab cocktail. Yummy!

An excellent meal with service attentive but not overbearing. A little expensive but, given its location on the wharf and the quality of food, not over the top.
