   The place was buzzing at 6:30 last night. Well dressed locals at pretty much every table. The ambience was stunning - from the bar to the back room, it looked great. The waiters were engaging: complimenting the guests, enthusiastically recommending their favorite dishes, and checking back on our impressions. Several caveats, though. The kitchen was smokey and invaded our table in the back. And the place was so packed, we waited 20 minutes for our table at 6:30, and didn’t finish with our dinner until 9:30. We were curious to check out the deserts after the excellent food, but were not willing to wait for it to be served.

   Excellent meal. Great atmosphere. Attentive staff. One of the few restaurants in NYC that really try hard to ensure their customers are having a good time.

   Fabulous! From start to finish as we celebrated our anniversary the staff could not have been nicer! They quickly accommodated a table change and very discreetly Our server was bubbly and excited about each dish cocktail and wanted to genuinely know what we thought! We thought the cocktails were amongst the BEST I ever had ..perfect Manhattan and cosmo but the winner of the night was the potatoes (crunchy and soft inside piping hot and salt and Parmesan to perfection Silly I know but I was obsessed ...the crudo linguine veal were spectacular. The lemon desert was sublime Don't miss this special spot it's also beautiful inside

   I had a delicious meal tonight at Sempre Oggi. I started with a chicory salad that was heavenly, then had one of my favorite dishes here the halibut, which was perfectly cooked and served with tasty little potatoes. I can't wait to return here!

   We were expecting a typical croweded and noisy dinner at an upper west side restaurant on a fRiday night and were pleasantly surprised by the corner table we were given in a quieter section of the restaurant. I had actually asked, when I reserved, if we could be seated in a quiet spot, and so we were! A lovely evening heightened by our waiter's suggestion that we share the dishes we ordered, which we did, with delight all around the table. The branzino a particular hit with us!

   Excellent service in a wonderful and quiet atmosphere with very good food. We look forward to returning. Our only disappointment was that the wine pours seemed skimpy.

   We love the fresh pasta choices available here. Each of us selected a different pasta. My husband always orders the veal chop. He claims it is the best he’s ever eaten. The focaccia appetizer is enough for 4-5 people, as is the prosciutto. Our waitress made a couple of small mistakes in our order last night, but we still enjoyed our meal and will return again soon.
