From the OpenTable editors: Chef Andrew Zimmerman's seasonal American tasting menu is so good that this West Loop favorite has consistently held on to a MICHELIN Star since first getting one in 2011. You'll get to choose from several options in your four-course dinner, which might include dishes like crispy ricotta gnudi, roasted monkfish with little neck clams, and a sweet pea pavlova with meyer lemon sorbet. You'll definitely want to get the wine pairing—Sepia won Wine Spectator's 2022 Best of Award of Excellence. Eating here feels extra-special because it's housed in an 1890 print shop with Art Nouveau floors and exposed-brick walls.

    Everything was fine, but we expected more from the dishes. They also did not refund the money for the reservation. The cocktail we ordered meant that it would have a smoke bubble, but while they were bringing it to us, the bubble burst and no one thought to redo it, so the cocktail entourage was bad

    The absolutely best meal of my life. A symphony! A genuine work of art. Every note true. Every bite better and different than the one before. All enhanced by service that was warm, genuine, knowledgeable, and felt entirely personal, like they had no place they wanted to be other than making our dining experience the best it could be. I was buzzing, my brain fizzing with delight all the way back to the hotel and then some. I can’t wait to come back to Chicago to see what these gastronomic magic makers come up with next!

    One of the best culinary experiences I've ever had. The food was amazing and the wine pairings were spot one. If you are in Chicago this is a MUST. P.S. make sure you're seated with Ashley. Her knowledge about the menu and the wine pairings made the entire night a one we will never forget!

    Fantastic - every course was outstanding. Service was friendly and accommodating without hovering. Accommodates my date with a vegan diet. Would highly recommend to anyone.

    One of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time. Our server, Gwen, was phenomenal. Very versed on the wine pairings and great timing. The Somm was a welcomed touch to the experience and he was extremely knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!
