Rushed. Brough the mains 10 mins after starters. Just felt rushed and low level of customer service. Having said that after being really put off them throwing us out half way through eating our main courses they extended our table by 45 mins which helped. But for the money spent it’s not worth my Katsura chicken was hard dry and tasted burnt. My wagyu beef was cold and not that great. Overall won’t be back.

The service was excellent, and the ambiance was well-set, though the tasting menu felt overpriced for what was offered. A better option might be to order individual dishes, which are priced around £25-£30 per person, rather than the £90 (45 pp) tasting menu. I can recommend the wine! Sauvignon Blanc was delicious. One dish in the tasting menu was disappointing: the chicken was dry, slightly overbaked, and lacked sauce. We opted to switch the aubergine for broccoli, but the broccoli could have benefited from being cooked a bit longer before baking. For the food only, I think I won’t come back. Guess the tasting menu is just a tourist trap. Ps. If they ask if you want water, still or sparkling, just say tap, will save you 4.5£ (time of writing 5.2€).

Second visit and did not disappoint. Food always delicious and fresh. Best prawn toasts - not just your regular triangles - zingy pickled shiitake mushrooms and a lovely choice of Bao buns. Just one dessert option though which was a bit of a disappointment.

Ambience was nice. Had great appetizers and lovely tea. Cocktails were good too. We had rabbit sando which was great, pork bao buns were delicious and sea bass ceviche was great. However, pork katsu curry and lamb bao buns were lacking. The lamb bao buns weren’t bad but just missing something. The pork katsu curry we got served seemed undercooked to us, but staff insisted it was fine, but the off taste was enough to avoid eating the rest.
