   We met up with a friend while visiting Ottawa area and this was such a lovely hidden gem!! Also had a vegan menu for our friend. Cocktails were beautiful.

   Wow!! The quality of the food, presentation, decor and outstanding service made for a very memorable experience. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable in accommodating both gluten free and vegan options. One of Ottawa’s best kept secrets!!

   We sat by the bar. Great vibes especially chatting with the servers. It's a hidden gem for sure. I have been to their downtown location for take out only, dining in at this location is a different experience for sure. The ambiance of the space sets the tone for the night. The food is always 10/10. Highly recommend.

   It was such a fun experience to walk through the front door into the kitchen space and then to be led to a small elegant dinning space. The food was amazing and the wait staff did a fantastic job! Would definitely come back.

   So glad Shinka opened a dining room again, and went bold and imaginative doing so! Best sushis in town, and now a fun night out too.

   The ambience of the restaurant is very cool and chic. Because the dining area is smaller and can only fit a certain amount of people, it gives the illusion/ feeling of a more personal and VIP experience! Service was wonderful, I love how each dish is thoroughly explained. Food was amazing quality and beautiful presentation. My boyfriend and I did their Omakase for the first time, such a good experience! Every single dish served and every bite was so unique. The Chefs here are extremely talented! We’ve been to countless sushi restaurants/bars/shops and Shinka by far is the best one we have had! Highly recommend!

    My wife and I came in for a date night. I like Sushi, she LOVES sushi. She said the quality of fish was hands down the best she’s had in Ottawa. I thought everything was great, a good mix of simple quality options (the otoro sashimi was a favorite) as well as some interesting and very flavorful signature rolls. We tried the unagi foie gras to see what the more premium options were like. It was delicious, and there were a few more options that sounded great, and based on what we experienced I’m sure you’re actually getting value for the deluxe options.
