   After being sat down, we had to ask for our waiter. Then we had to ask for water and cutlery and plates and napkins. We asked the first time for all of these items and then had to ask a second time to a different server. After ordering our drinks, the person who brought the drinks did not know which was which. He had to take it back to the bar, get the order straightened out and then come back. The food was spectacular, and the desserts were average. But the service was absolutely unacceptable for the area and the type of restaurant it proclaims to be. Our Valentine’s Day dinner wasn’t too special.

   What a great addition to Downtown Miami. Sixty Vines is located in the World Center area in Downtown Miami. It’s a large open space and yet it feels cozy and intimate. Our server Andres was charming and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. He gave us some great recommendations. We have the Caesar salad, fried chicken and caviar, mussels and potatoes. Everything was tasty and delicious. The fried chicken is gluten free so it doesn’t feel heavy. This is definitely going on our regular rotation.

   I love coming to Sixty Vines and bringing my friends and family. The food is great, I love the ambiance and it’s convenient. Most times I get a great server and sometimes (twice) I’ve had servers that seemed like they were having a bad day. Once I made note to a manager, I’m usually accommodated by another server who proves to be excellent. I’ll continue to come here!

   Food was really good. Service was very good, but spotty. We needed the ask the hostess to find our server a couple of times. The restaurant was not busy, but maybe they were short-staffed for the night? We had a great time.

   Sixty Vines is my new favorite restaurant, bar none. I have a gluten allergy and eating out can be challenging. Not only does Sixty Vines have a wide variety of options marked on the menu as gluten-free, but they are willing to modify almost anything on the menu so that you can have it and not get sick. It is truly exceptional! They are not only kind but understanding and decent about what is often a difficult situation. On top of that, everything I’ve had on the menu has been great, you can make your own charcuterie platter, which is really cool, and the wide variety of wines is always an adventure!

   We had visited earlier in the week and been looked after by Ed, who was excellent. We were made to feel welcome. This time there seemed to be a lack of cohesion to the service. Food was great,again, but we weren’t asked if the meal was ok. Our waiter seemed to “disappear “, busy looking after others(tips?) There was a lot of discussions going on amongst staff and management, lots of people passing by us, but not checking in with us. Many thanks

   Food was good and the ambiance is very nice but this is my second time coming here and service is lacking. Don’t think it was the waiters fault they just had too much going on all at once this time around from what I could tell.
