We had dinner in Sophie’s in galway and I was so disappointed the food was just awful.
The bruschetta was 2 piece of half burnt very dry bread a ball of mozzarella and 3 figs and a pile of lettuce!!! Not a tomato in sight considering it’s bruschetta??? All fired on to a plate so u had to make it up urself was absolutely awful, I said this to waitress and she simply didn’t care.
The mains were okay but not a lot of food considering I couldn’t eat the starter and no veg or side dish with this so I ordered truffle fries which were a soggy mess !! A pile of garlic mayo thrown on top made the chips soggy and looked like it was sitting there ages so unappetising , then I ordered Eton mess , so again expecting what would be the classic recipe for same, strawberries and meringue and cream , I got a pile of strawberry ice cream and a few bits of meringue sprinkled on top , it was awful I sent it back again waitress didn’t give a damn ….
My husbands food was same, awful and kids pizzas burnt base and a soggy mess , it was just a horrible meal everything about it was bad and poor standard , service and food and we paid almost 200 for the four of us which was fine if food was up to scratch.
I hope the management takes this feedback into consideration.
I was really looking forward to a great experience, but sadly, this visit missed the mark. I hope they can improve.
