   First time there and probably the last! Food was not seasoned- bland. Calamari tasted like cardboard. I asked if there were any peppers in anything, to which they said no - but then their olives had peppers and were very hot… When Vancouver has Salvio Volpe, Elio Volpe, Peppinos and other excellent choices, you gotta raise your game. This one fell totally flat for me…

   The food was good but the Manager was rude, unhelpful and lacked even the basic level of empathy. We went for dinner at 7pm on Saturday night and parked in the underground parkade underneath the restaurant. The parkade has Sopra Sotto branding on it, which says "are you hungry, you're in the right place, Sopra Sotto". So we parked and went for dinner. We were done dinner at 8:30pm and to our suprise the parking gate was closed and our car was locked inside. Our dog and our childs car seat were both in the car. We talked to the staff at Sopra Sotto and they said this has happened before where customers were locked in the parade after dinner. I asked to speak to the Manager who was extremely rude and was quick to blame us saying they don't own the parkade and we should have read the sign that said the gate closes at 8pm. The restaurant closes at 11:30pm, so why would you tell your customers to park in a parkade that will lock them out at 8pm. This is common sense. We could see through the gate that there were 7 other cars locked inside as well, so this is clearly a bigger issue than the restaurant wants to admit. In the end, we were forced to leave our dog in the car all night long and pick our child up in a taxi, risking his safety with no child seat. We live in Maple Ridge, so it is an hour drive. I understand the restaurant does not own the parkade, but given that the restaurant says this happens frequently you would think they would come to a solution with the owner of the parkade so their customers are not locked inside overnight after dinner. At the very least, take your Sopra Sotto sign out of the parkade and don't tell your customers to park there. Sopra Sotto should also evaluate this Managers ability to manage a restaurant and provide the hospitality that is required to customers who spend good money at their restaurant.

   Excited to dine here but left disappointed. Food was on the lukewarm to colder side for both the pastas and pizza that was ordered. Restaurant was busy but not full. Server was lack luster and acted she had better places to be. Won’t be returning. Many other pizza places which have a cool vibe too and serve hot food hot.

   Always good food and drinks Friendly upbeat service Tipping point could start a bit lower in the payment choices And would be good to add a few more options that aren’t tomato based perhaps expand the butter kids menu one to an olive oil based pasta sauce or white sauce

   I must say the best Italian food - hands down! We left very happy and will definitely come back and recommend to others. One more thing please considering selling the sauce used on the meatballs, they were insanely delicious. Thank you for making My son’s bday a great experience tonight.

   I recently organized a bday event here, the team was great at being very accommodating when i asked to adjust my reservation a couple of times. Food and drinks were amazing . The only downfall was that the drinks did take a very long time do receive 20 min or so and the meals did not come out all at once.

   The food was all delicious and came out very quickly. Our waitress was very quiet and timid, not very memorable or especially helpful or friendly.

   There was a piece of ceramic in our food, and one dish came out cold. We asked 3 TIMES for them to heat it but it still came out cold each time. Nice of the staff to discount our bill but not worth the dinner stress.

   Our reservations were for 5:30 pm. I phoned to let them know we would be late. As the website states there is a 15 mins grace period for late arrivals. The gal told me my 1 1/2 hr reservation time would have to begin at 5:30 pm (time of my reservation) cause they were very busy and my table was reserved at 7 pm for another party of two. We made it for 5:30 pm but our order wasn’t taken until 15 mins after looking at the menu. We ended up staying until 7:10 pm as it was very evident that there was no one waiting at the door to be seated. Our table was for two and there were other empty tables in the restaurant for two. With no one at the door waiting to be seated.
