   We have been many times and Ryan is the absolute best! We enjoyed every one of his suggestions on food and wine :) He is the definition of customer service; someone consistently goes above and beyond to help customers, demonstrating genuine care, empathy, and a commitment to resolving issues effectively, creating a positive experience that builds strong customer loyalty :)

   Pre Fix dinner is very expensive. Quality of food is spectacular. Often waited long periodsof timme between odering sine and the 3 courses

   Every holiday, my friend and I celebrate at Spruce to celebrate our friendship of over 25 years. We always look forward to this get together. We didn't know the menu was price fixed. Because last years we've celebrated, it never was. I thought the way we were told about the menu and how we were treated was poorly handled. The communication from the wait staff and the manager was rude and condescending. We will no longer go to Spruce to celebrate. We will now go to Zuni cafe or BIX. The wait staffs there are much friendlier and professional.

   This is one of the best pre-fix meals, from beginning to end, we have had in years. (The last one also was at Spruce.) Food is consistently creative, cooked to perfection, and presented with great beauty. Two extras provided by the restaurant added value. Wine recommendation was perfect. This is one of two restaurants we have frequented in San Francisco this past year that is fully staffed, and the staff is superbly trained--gracious, welcoming, and competent. We spent three hours in Sunday lunch, and no-one ever made us feel rushed or inconvenienced. A great restaurant and a great value.

    The atmosphere at Spruce is really warm yet elegant. The service and food were excellent (I had the scallops, they were perfect). Ask for the main room. I just wish there were more natural light in the restaurant
