   Very disappointed, I expected way more from a seemingly classy restaurant on such a momentous day (Valentines day) dinner. The waitress started out fine but missed opportunities for greatness along the way by forgetting some essential dinner compliments like our main course wine! My wife and I were left to wonder if it would ever come — never did. However the meal — tenderloin — did arrive but sadly the side items (potatoes and veggies) were lukewarm to nearly cold in places — I don’t believe I have ever experienced anything like it in all the fine dining I have done. The waitress never came by to ask us how our meal was and if we needed anything - not once. She was there at the end of our meal with the check though — we were too unassuming to even bring up the lack of our dinner wine. But here’s where everything went south at the end. On the table was one nicely cut rose in a small vase begging to be picked up and given to the lady of the table so I did and my wife thought well of it; apparently the establishment thought otherwise and our waitress informed her manager and just as we were about to depart that manager came over to tell us she couldn’t have that one single cut rose because it was part of the table decoration. Are YOU kidding me, a high class restaurant like the Hyatt is telling my sweet wife on Valentine’s Day that she needs to put this one little rose back! I didn’t say a thing because I thought how cheap can an establishment be not to let one very nice customer have that one rose that would have made the whole experience much more pleasant but no, after spending nearly $200 dollars on dinner, they just couldn’t let a maybe $2 dollar rose go and quickly replace it with another. I will never go back there again and I’ll be sure to let anyone who asks me about the Hyatt House know as well.

   Great date night spot! Food was excellent. Ambiance fantastic. Kinda strange music playlist though- not terrible but just odd.

   Great dinner, we ordered the mussels and calamari to start, steak and gnocchi for dinner. The cocktails were unique and the desserts fantastic. The age of the building, the windows facing out towards Sutters Fort added to the experience. A new favorite of ours.

   The service was minimal. We had to keep asking for water and ended up pouring our own wine when our glasses were empty. I was very disappointed in the menu; no green salad and the food was just so-so. I’ve dined here several times and it was always good; I don’t know what happened.

   I booked Star Lounge on a Wednesday evening to celebrate my 37th birthday with 2 friends. When we first walked in we were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful ambiance we all really enjoyed the vibe immediately. We waited awhile for the hostess to show up and seat us, no big deal. We sat sort of the near the entrance to the right of where you walk in from the elevators at a middle table near the stairs. It was nice! The hostess poured us water while we waited for the server. The server was okay, I can’t tell if they were having an off night or what but it just like they didn’t really want to serve us, I can’t explain it. Our servers were also switched and there wasn’t an introduction of the new server at all. We ordered the steak and the salmon. The steak was cold and the broccolini that came with the salmon was cold. The flavors were good! I forgot to mention we got the bread butter as as appetizer and the butter had a strange after taste so we inquired with the server about the ingredients of the butter and they seemed annoyed by that. The new server asked if we wanted dessert I said yes, it’s my birthday (excitedly), I asked what the options were and decided on the crème brûlée. The server came out abiut 10 minutes later with a dessert with a candle that was NOT the crème brûlée. I didn’t say anything because the server had already walked away I just blew out my candle we paid the bill and left. I want to come back here because I liked the ambiance SO much and the food wasn’t bad I am just hoping for a better overall experience next time I guess… I kind of wanted a little bit more of a pleasant experience for my birthday but I was a bit disappointed. I do recommend this place simply for the aesthetic but yeah I guess I’ll try again next time..

   The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Good place for a special dinner. The food is good, but check the menu ahead of time because there were only four entree choices.

   I was neglected in the corner of the venue . Had reservations but late 15 minutes. Did not accommodate. Charged 50$ for reservation. Seated in the corner of the restaurant with bad service. Server was great host was not. Food was wonderful.

    First time visiting, for my wife's birthday. Great all around: beautiful building, romantic ambience (real candles!), delicious food and great service. Perfect for a special dinner.
