Named after the Austrian ski legend, Stein Eriksen's features large windows overlooking the slopes so you can ski in, warm up, and ski out. Visit us on the second level of the Clocktower Building, located in the Village at Boyne Mountain, for familiar fare with a Contemporary European twist. We had such a great experience at Stein Eriksen’s that we ate there two nights in a row. To start, the decor is Alpine, a perfect fit overlooking the slopes. Scott, the host, greeted us so warmly and checked in to make sure everything was going well. Its team members like this that create an experience that is memorable! They were absolutely booked on the holiday weekend, but service was seamless. Mark and Tim were both attentive servers and knew the menu well. The Alpine inspired menu was delicious and fitting for the setting.

We absolutely love dining at Stein Eriksons while at Boyne Mountain. The staff and manager are so accommodating. The food is excellent!!it’s great for large groups and for kids. I highly recommend the fondue experiences.

When the dining room is nearly empty, no one should have to wait 45 minutes for their dinner to be served— but certainly if someone waited that long, which we did, the meal should be served hot. Ours was not. Four of us had the short ribs. Even the mashed potatoes were cold. It takes a long time for mashed potatoes to get cold.

This restaurant is closed despite the fact we were able to make reservations and the brochure from the resort listed live music there that night. The staff there at the bar were nice and redirected us to another restaurant.

We had a table of 8 but we’re still served and on our way in about an hour and 15 mins. The food was excellent and plentiful.

Service was poor. Our waiter had 6 tables to service at the same time with nearly no help. The Reuben sandwich was terrible. Full of gristle and very fatty. Wine ordered was forgotten and never served. Love Boyne but would skip Steins next time.

We loved our night at Stein Eriksens. The gist Bavarian pretzel and cheese fondue we delicious. We enjoyed live music while we dined, and loved looking out to the slopes. The kids menu was also a pleasant surprise. My kids loved the salmon and onion rings. Great value for the experience!

The restaurant, like so many these days, is under staffed. This caused me to give a lower rating than I would like to give. Some of the food was hot and some of it was warm.
