   This is a good format and the Oxford restaurant has a nice feel to it. Delicious food, expensive wine.

   Overall I really love sticks and sushi, but our latest experience fell short of our expectations. Usually the price is offset with great food, value for money, and incredible service. However, we found that prices have increased and portion sizes have decreased leaving us to question where the value for money is. We even got a pitiful amount of wasabi and ginger to go with the sushi. Service was slow and empty glasses and napkins were left on our table throughout.

   We had an absolutely delightful evening. Tasting menu plus lots of sticks for our two children. Service as always was super. We have visited sticks and sushi many times and it is one of our favourite places to go, however on arrival they ushered us to a high table in a curtained area in the corner. It was a squashed table with my husband getting bumped every minute by people walking past. It was to be honest a really awful table. My husband asked to move. Being a Saturday night we weren’t sure we could be accommodated as the restaurant was very full, and had decided if not move we would leave and rebook another time. Luckily they had another really nice table in the middle of the restaurant with a lovely ambience and plenty of space … such a difference! Please do away with the awful table in the black curtained area corner. When spending nearly £400 for dinner for 4 of us we wanted to enjoy the restaurant. Our service was amazing the staff are really lovely and my daughter had a really lovely birthday meal in the end.

    Our waiter is Apoorv ( AP) and he has delivered a lovely meal with knowledge, patience and grace. This place is heaving tonight and yet our experience has been really personable. Sticks & Sushi look after this wonderful waiter, he is so professional and polite. Full marks guys. From Ange,Stu & Stan Long.
