   Hostess was not friendly, they seated us 30 mins after our reservation time. We had to approach them to remind them of our reservation time. We understood you were busy but don’t be rude about it

   Started with seating us outside with a dining room reservation. When asked why, “we are seating first available because we are busy”. Out of wine requested, food came out 50 min after apps, ordered medium rare steak came out very well done. Ordered the tomahawk and came out cooked correctly, but was cold. The list goes on. It was hard to pay $600 for a dinner that was on lawn furniture, outside in the cold, with food that was well below standard. Our waitress was very nice, and you could tell she was on edge as she knew she was dealing with bad situations. We felt bad for her. STK is well below their competition.

   Service was great, appetizers and sides were amazing the steak wasn’t cooked well at all, wasn’t tender didn’t have a great taste, tough to cut & I ordered the wagyu tomahawk, it was cooked at medium. I don’t know it just wasn’t good, didn’t melt like butter, no type of taste at all and for it to be a wagyu cut I just expected more because I’ve been here just different locations and had better.

   Turkey pink and under cooked and calamari tough everything else was blatantly average. The place was busy and it was a holiday so we didn’t complain

   The restaurant is pretty, the area we were in was quite cold, and very noisy. Everything, in my opinion was overpriced, drinks, appetizers steaks, sides, etc. All the food was good, I just don’t think it is worth what they charge. There are much better places, price wise, in the area.

   CANNOT ACCOMMODATE GLUTEN FREE I haven’t been to a restaurant that charges an average of $75 an entrée that couldn’t make acceptable accommodations, but STK 44 could make none . We booked with gluten-free noted and even on the phone was told they could accommodate. There was not one appetizer nor salad that they could accommodate, and only one side dish. None of the entrées could be prepared with a sauce, making it a plain slab of meat or fish. We booked the rooftop well in advance for Christmas Eve, we were called the day before in the afternoon and told that it was closed and they’d have to seat us in the main room. This gave us no option to go elsewhere since we were informed so late. Fox restaurant group should not consider this a high end restaurant. It’s more along the lines of “wanna be”

    Christmas Eve dinner the food was good - the starter bread had like a blue cheese butter on it, which overall I enjoy blue cheese but not on this bread. The bread was dry. I got the prime rib which was cooked to my liking and very enjoyable. The side potatoes wedges were thick chunks so not very much flavor through out the potatoes only on the tops of the wedges. Ordered a Christmas Eve drink they advertised but they ran out of eggnog so I couldn't have it and this was at 6:30 pm reservations so clearly didn't stock up for the evening. We were in a small room and they had college football playing ON Christmas Eve which was very distracting and we caught ourselves looking at the tv even though we had no interest. Ask them to turn it off and they said they couldn't. That really ruined the ambiance of such a beautiful evening. All in all would not go back on a special night.
