    Christmas dinner at Sullivan’s was very busy. Considering the number of diners, the staff did an excellent job of service that felt surprisingly personal. We were seated at a table for five that felt surprisingly intimate. We were warned by our server that we were going to have to wait a while for our entrees to be prepared. But the time passed comfortably for us at least as it gave us more time for a good family conversation and visit. We have been dining out each Christmas for 10 years (except for 2 years during the Covid pandemic). This was the best Christmas dining-out experience we have had.

    It's really a nice place to go for special occasions and so forth Our main courses were very good but the sides were less desirable. It was clear there was no seasoning on any of the sides we had so that was disappointing For a higher end experience one should not need to doctor up the food. Overall it was time with my family

    Josh was our server for Christmas dinner and was fabulous. He made sure we were always taken care of and managed our expectations on timing during an extremely busy time for the kitchen and the restaurant. I’m sure it was a stressful evening but he didn’t let that show. Service was excellent.

    Three of us were so excited for dinner at Sullivans on Christmas Day at 4:30 PM. It was such a disappointment and after two hours there, we left hungry. The Beef Wellington Bites appetizer are advertised as pieces of filet mignon wrapped in puff pastry. What I actually received was some kind of ground meat that tasted like lamp in puff pastry. The blue cheese wedge salad dressing was thin and sweet. We ordered a cowboy steak (they were all out of the wagyu steak) that arrived one hour and twenty minutes after placing the order and it was raw. Our scallops were tasty but not hot and those too took 1 hour and 20 minutes. We declined having the steak recooked and we were not charged for our entrees. I had the crab fried rice that was mediocre at best with chunks of cold white crab atop rice. Our waiter Andre was kind and very apologetic saying “the kitchen was backed up.” Raw steak, bland food, cold scallops, extremely long wait times did not make for a very pleasant Christmas dinner. The drinks were good and our waiter great but alas Sullivans was definitely not what we expected.

I would love to invite you back in and take care of the first $150 of your visit if you are willing to give us another chance. We had some major food delivery issues that were out of our control, so yes we were out of several steaks. Packing in 500 guests in a short time window caused the kitchen to get overwhelmed. I'm truly embarrassed and would love to make it up to you. Please call the restaurant at 520.299.4275 and please ask for me if you would like to take me up on my offer.     The food, service and our booth were all EXCELLENT! You never know what to expect on a Holiday but it was run like a well-oiled machine. The manager, Matthew, was highly visible throughout to make sure everyone was enjoying their dining experience. Perfect!

    Service was excellent and this was Christmas Day We were grateful they were fully staffed with competent staff. General Manager came by to thank us for dining with them. Full menu options made our luncheon even more enjoyable. And they serve Gruet 'champagne' and we are particularly fond of this vintner who brought vines from France to New Mexico.

    If you have a special occasion, this is the place!!! Our table assistant was Maddix and she was amazing! Very attentive but let us have our time without hovering and interrupting. She was outstanding! Definitely going to Sullivan's again!
