Today high above the hustle and bustle of North Orange County, like a crown on the hilltop, you will find built in the tradition of an English country manor the stately Summit House Restaurant.
The Summit House, renowned for its magnificent panoramic views and old-world charm, is famous for the amazing flavors and incredible food presentations created by Executive Chef Timothy Plumb’s culinary team. Highlights include our world-famous Stockyards of Chicago Roast Prime Ribs of Beef, “melt-in-your-mouth” oak wood grilled USDA prime steaks, our thirty-year favorite sautéed John Dory, locally grown vegetables hand-picked from neighboring Back Sheep Farms, and of course our famous creamed corn au gratin.

    We always spend our anniversary at Summit House and order their excellent prime rib! Dinner comes with fresh bread, creamed corn and creamed spinach plus a fresh popover. A fancy and filling dessert is also complimentary on special occasions!

    Beautiful holiday decoration and great ambiance, I had a outdoor patio seating with city view, so I'm very happy. Signature prime rib was done perfectly, side dishes are delicious. I have been dining in Summit House for a long time, their food quality has been very consistent and service has always been either polite and nice.

    What a wonderful dinner at Summit House! Victorian carolers visited our table when we arrived and just before we left. All our dinners were perfect and no one left hungry. A really great experience.

    Our server was poor. I’ve been dining to Summit House for over 15 years and the is was poorest service we have ever experienced. Last night we celebrated my wife’s birthday. We asked for bread and we never received it from her. After 15 minutes I asked a table busser for bread and he got it for us. Later we received escargot and we were out of bread again and needed it for the escargot. She said she would bring it and again we waited for over 10 minutes while the escargot unfortunately cooled. I decided to leave the table to find her and right when I stood up she finally showed. Additionally, both my son’s drinks were not refilled after over 20 minutes. Our sever was just not very attentive to our table in a timely manner.
