Like Japan, Peru has a millennia-old history. They are two great, ancient civilizations with two major culinary traditions. These traditions complemented one another, and neither of the two sides absorbed the other to the point where one disappeared. SusherÍa menu is the result of this great union and the experience/vision of Mauricio Fraga-Rosenfeld and his dedicated culinary team lead by Peruvian Executive Chef Javier Angeles-Beron.

About the experience -
Susheria is a unique casual-glam restaurant concept where you will enjoy Izakaya, a Japanese style of service. The Japanese version of tapas, dishes will be served when ready. Izayaka is a perfect moment to enjoy life, laughter and great conversations while sharing food and drinks.

Unfortunately, I had high hopes for this place. Hostess acted clueless when checking in. Once sat at our table, we noticed red lipstick all over one of our water glasses, nasty. Our waiter clearly had better things to do. We ordered food, then canceled food after we saw we were served dirty dish-wear. This is a place you go to after you’ve already had a few drinks and don’t care about what you’re getting. Not a place you start out with and have expectations for. Suggested this place for me and my man, and shed tears that it was trash. Anyways, we got one drink a piece and when to the next place for happy hour.

Service was terrible. We ordered our drinks before ordering our food. The drinks didn’t come until it was time to ask for the checks.

The food was good, not great. It was expensive for what it was. The atmosphere was extremely loud and the hooka smoking was a surprise. Great server.

The food and drinks were delicious! Enjoyed the Ceviche Mixto for my entree and Un Atardecer and Nanbu Bijin Ruten: Junmai Ginjo for drinks immensely. The decor is lovely and gives LA vibes. The music was enjoyable, but the volume was too loud to hear anything clearly during conversations. The staff were gracious and accommodating. Will definitely come back to try more items and enjoy the vibes.
