The server was overwhelmed with too many tables,IMO. I believe the kitchen was backed up, it took 50 minutes to get burgers. We had to leave our food unfinished to make the theater next door. The burgers were a bit over done , but still tasty. I will be back, previous visits were very good. This time was acceptable.

The ambience is very nice, I prefer it to the open room of some of the older New Orleans restaurants. I started with A cup of the Duck and andouille Gumbo, which is a tradition to start for me at every restaurant in New Orleans. It was really good! My husband started with the Crab Fondue, it was good, but my Gumbo was better. I was very disappointed they no longer have the Duck Breast with Blueberry Berry reduction, it was one of the reasons I booked this restaurant. So I had the Coullet and it was very good. My husband and daughter had the Duck pasta, not sure I could recommend it, neither seemed to enjoy it, my daughter ate a good bit of my steak. The service was excellent, she didn’t hover, but was always around.

Unfortunately, our dinner coincided with a parade that we were unaware of, so it was very loud and it was difficult to hear our server and each other. However, the food made up for the noise, all of our dishes were delicious. The French Onion soup had a smokey flavor that added depth to the dish. The Maison salad's dressing enlivened the rather plain salad of greens and tomatoes. The duck gumbo was rich and hearty. Service was really slow, it took almost 20 minutes for the server to show up, half an hour for bread and another 15 minutes for our food. Pretty dining room and great bar selection.

Good was woah overpriced for the lack of flavor and the way it was cooked. Pork belly was burnt with no marinade. Potatoes that accompanied wagyu steak had an over abundance of onions. Almond fish lacked flavor and Caesar salad was just ok. The orange liquor/pineapple drink was as terrible. Even Malbec wine wasn’t great. However, the crème brûlée was great and French baguette was decent.

We had the gnocchi and pork belly to start and then the duck confit salad and moules frites as our mains with the sticky toffee pudding as dessert. The food was excellent. The waiter seemed to be disengaged and disappeared after taking our dessert order. We had to ask for the check from another waiter. For an upscale restaurant, on a relatively quiet Friday evening, it damped our enjoyment of dinner.
