The origins of South Bank’s newest Asian dining experience are steeped rich in history, honouring traditions in Chinese and South East Asian cuisines. Our restaurant is proudly named after the owner’s ancestral great, great grandmother who was, as the title refers to, Tai Tai.

Our location in the heart of South Bank makes Tai Tai one of Brisbane’s most popular restaurants to dine at before a film, show at QPAC or conference at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. We welcome and encourage walk-ins, however limited number of tables are available to book in advance.

                                                          Took me 3yr years to return but did not disappoint. The food (pork boa and pork belly) just melted in your mouth, and the wooden dragon cocktail (for the sweet tooth) excellent, not at all overly sweet. Service was great.

Eggplant with pork mince hot pot, crispy skin chicken, wok fried scallops & king prawns & fried rice all cooked to perfection. Banana fritters & ice cream tasty. Good selection of Wine by the glass. Airy outdoor seating. Very enjoyable lunch pre theatre.

                                                          A group of friends and I went along to the last evening of the Chinese New Year Banquet special. The food was spectacular and was great to try some different meals. Service and quality of food was great as always.
