   Very cute entrance to the restaurant; great music played by the DJ (also the volume was low enough for you to enjoy the music while still being able to hear your date talk); the crispy plantains appetizer and sushi rolls were 5 star (so delicious); the drinks are super cute; the only con is that the tables are so tiny and close together. You can barely fit two sushi rolls on your table without fear of knocking something over—the waiters also struggle getting in between the tables with ease. Had a great time and will be back!

   The reviews I read before going were accurate. Cool space, great drinks and good service, but the sushi rolls are just fine. My biggest pet peeve of any sushi restaurant is a limited menu where a majority of the rolls having imitation Krab. And that was the case here. I made the suggestion to our server so hopefully they might expand their roll menu in the future which would be great because I’d really like to take more people to experience this space.

   Food was great! Service was great. Decor was interesting. The music is very much a club vibe, but we were still able to have conversation. The stairs exiting were very dark, the edges should probably be painted with a bright or glow in the dark strip. Enjoyed it!

   Imitation crab, music is super loud considering they serve dinner, can tell they focus more on attract people to take pictures than from a food/ambience perspective. No need to come back here for sushi again. Pictures weren’t even that great

   From the esthetics to the food and drinks, Tako was the best experience in SD! We try a new place every week and this place is hands down the best and already making reservations to go again!

    The service was A+, the food was delicious, the price was higher than normal (but was expected), and the only thing that truly annoyed me was the incense. Please do not light incense while people are eating…it does not add to the ambience and took away from our meal as a whole. Trying to eat my sushi with such a harsh smell was a bit bizarre.
