   My wife, 83 yr okd mother and I ate there last night and was very disappointed in my fish and chips. Hamburger and flat bread were ok. Fish overcooked to the point there was very little fish in the ends of the pieces, mostly breading. It was not busy and took a very long time for french onion soup, which was so-so, to be delivered and both rounds of drinks took the bartender a long time to pour 2 glasses of wine and make 1 lemondrop martini. Our server who was very nice and attentive brought water right away. Had to ask for napkin and silverware. For the $140+ price, it was not worth it. The overall experience was disappointing. If i go back, definitely will not order fish and chips.

   We visited on a Tuesday, Despite the moderately small number of patrons the service seemed a little slow. The wait staff was pleasant enough but not especially efficient. Making multiple trips to refill water or take one drink order at a time. We had to suggest we were ready to order. Drinks took a while to be delivered though I could see them sitting on the bar. Once we placed our food order it was prepared quickly and the taste was amazing. The Pecan glazed salmon with broccolini was some of the best.

   I think we arrived with a rush and they were a little swamped but the manager did a great job seeing to everyone and helping out so after a short wait, everyone pitched in to make sure we received service. Food is always good here and very fairly priced. No live music tonight but it is common to show up and find a performer playing acoustic music. Great data night place.

   Ordered initial round of drinks and 2 apps then closed out as never received our waters and no one came around to take our dinner order or ask if needed 2nd round of drinks. After finished apps and sat there for awhile with drinks empty and never received waters we simply closed out when someone finally came around to check on us.

   Tap and Vine is overall a nice place to dine. However, be prepared for hiccups. We waited for a little over 10 minutes to be seated and that was with a reservation. I do believe they were short staffed. Once seated we waited another 5 minutes to the point we had to grab a waitress and she just took our order right there. Very professional and stayed with us the entire time. I’m not sure we would have stayed had she not taken such great care of us and stepped up. This was not even her normal restaurant. She works at another location. Overall a solid 8, but would I go back, probably not. Live music was good though

   Outstanding in every way. Waiter was attentive and gracious. Eggplant Parmigiana was the I’ve had. Such a pleasant experience.

   We went for the AYCE crab legs on a Sunday night. My husband had their strip, which was chewy. There were only two other tables, and they both left before we did. The crab legs were watery and small. The first two rounds were unseasoned and the last round was so salty I couldn’t finish them. The butter appeared and tasted to be like the movie theater popcorn “butter”. Regardless of how cold it was, it never solidified like real butter and it wasn’t super flavorful. Overall not worth the price at all. Server was ok, but for the lack of tables could have done more. She was very on top of bringing out more crab legs, however, and we appreciated that. I got crab legs for $20 less at Harris Teeter the next night and was much more satisfied. I used to love this place, but I think it is one of those cursed locations in Charlotte.
