Beautiful restaurant with a lot of history. Our waiter Victor was very friendly and provided excellent service. Food and drinks were excellent. Parking was along side the street. Highly recommend dining here.

Had a so-so experience. Staff couldn’t find our reservation to start, but they seated us without much fuss. What the staff did make a fuss about was the manner in which they extolled their authenticity, the food’s authenticity, the cook’s abilities, etc. In my experience, that behavior is often a warning sign; the food should speak for itself. Speaking of which, the food itself was ok but not great. Fish soup was no better nor any more authentic tasting than what we ate at other places on the island. The waiter extolled the chef’s abilities to cook conch (that evening’s special) the “right way”, but mine was rubbery and tough; nothing like I’ve had at other restaurants in the Caribbean. Given the prices and the quality of food we ate elsewhere during our stay, we found Taste My Aruba uninspiring and a relatively poor value.

Everything and everyone is aces! We loved the intimate vibe in a comfortably spacious setting. The presentation is confident, unpretentious and elegant. We visited twice during our visit and would’ve returned more often had our first visit happened earlier. The cocktails are creative and made us reconsider our customary limit of one per meal. The funchi fries and ketchup-based sauce were so good, we greedily asked for more. The salads made with farm fresh ingredients delivered delightfully crisp flavors and textures. My wife doesn’t do seafood, and commented on how expertly well prepared her meat dishes were. I on the other hand savored every morsel of the barracuda and grouper. My only regret is I don’t have more than one stomach, because I just wanted more. And for dessert we had the trio of items that featured the owner’s cashew cake. The only flaw in our experience was that the delicious chocolate mousse was dense, which ain’t mousse-like but was nonetheless consumed in seconds with everyone scampering for the last bite. (You will never beat a determined 11 year-old.) If you have an extended stay in Aruba, do yourself a favor and get there as fast as you can. Go to a couple of other places for the sake of variety, if you feel like you must. However, you will not lack for it if this is the only place where you sit yourself down every night. Go and revel in every morsel — Taste My Aruba is magic.

Our first time at this restaurant and it was a lovely surprise, tucked away amongst so many other restaurants and shops. The ambience was lovely and the food was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to find they also had kids meal options. The fresh fish options and their preparation were wonderful - delicious and beautifully presented. The only thing I might complain about was that our server forgot the ceviche I ordered as an appetizer. Given how delicious the rest of the meal was, I was sorry to not have had a chance to try it. The owner stopped by to chat with us and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back the next time we're on the island.

This restaurant is situated just slightly behind and past the Renaissance mall in Oranjestad. Street parking is easy. The decor is an inviting mix of authentic Aruba and garden, romantic ambiance with three seating areas. Diners can enjoy the outdoor street side tables, indoor, or garden/patio dining. From the moment I stepped inside I was greeted with welcoming, smiling faces throughout my meal including the waitress, hostess, and owner, Nathaly. The menu offers a creative variety of starters, main courses, and desserts. I had the black ink pasta with lobster main course that was incredibly delicious! The pasta and cream sauce were prepared to perfection and the lobster (all the good stuff, not the pincher part of the claw) was cooked perfectly, sweet and tender. I chose the dessert trio which included a sampling of chocolate mousse, bread pudding, and a local favorite, cashew cake. Smart choice because I got to have bites of so much goodness! The cashew cake was less cake and more cashew filling rendering it sweet and flavorful as opposed to some dry versions that I’ve had in the past. And the cocktails!!! Again, the creativity is flowing with delicious options that are beautifully complimented and garnished with some herbs and flowers grown right on the premises. I think my first choice was called Beat the Rona martini and it was fabulous as was my second choice which featured fresh blueberries. Do put this restaurant on the top of your list. You will not be disappointed. The owner is preparing a new venture adjacent to Taste My Aruba. A tapas restaurant! I’m looking forward to enjoying both on my next trip to the island!
