VIOLÍ was initially inspired by DineAmic Hospitality Partners, David Rekhson and Lucas Stoioff's, travels throughout Greece, where they acquired a newfound appreciation for the natural Greek lifestyle. Following their trip, the hospitality group opened LÝRA in West Loop's Fulton Market neighborhood and now brings the Greek Cuisine and world renowned superstar Chef Partner Athinagoras Kostakos to the Western Suburbs.

    Great ambiance and experience restaurant. More of a date/friends night out vs family. Reasonably priced and decent portion sizes. Highly recommend!

    The food was great and our waitress was wonderful , but we had to wait 45 minutes even though we made reservations. I was once late because there was no parking and the valet was gone for at least 15 minutes. The restaurant cancelled my reservation and charged me $25/person. They eventually refunded the money. However, it’s frustrating that there are penalties for customers being late due to lack of parking, but nothing, not even an apology, for making us wait 45 minutes even with a reservation.

    Jacob and his team were very conscientious of our time with friend; they were respectful and not pushy. The new menu additions are outstanding. The chef….I can’t say enough about the options, ingredients and palatable cuisine. This Mediterranean restaurant knows how to entertain, offer the ambience and vibe, serve its customers and keep us coming back!

    The ambience was lovely, the food was delicious, and service was prompt. The music was loud enough to make our conversation private but not too loud that we couldn't easily converse. The flavors of the hummus dip and pita were distinct (vs store-bought), in addition - the cocktails (both the Hades and the bourbon cocktail) were nice riffs on old classics. The Filet and chicken thigh were perfectly cooked and the crispy potato sides (which at many restaurants aren't truly crispy) were perfectly prepared. We had a great time.

    We had a wonderful experience at Violi. The restaurant is beautiful. The servers were attentive and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious! I can’t wait for my next reservation.

    First time here. Very nicely decorated. Our server, Phil,was fabulous but unfortunately we didn't really enjoy the food very much. Just OK, just our thoughts.
