   Screaming kids so no the ambience wasn't right for our couples lunch. Pork chop was hard and black underneath (apparently that's the char on the grill). Half a chicken was small, and the skin was rubbery and grey. Reduced our bill from £87 to £82 as it was inedible. Service served burnt food and smiled as if amused when they listed all the menu items that we could not have. It's not cheap, and it's definitely not great value. Limited choice, no steaks available either sirloin or fillet today, half the things I wanted to order, were on the menu but not available. It seemed like the kitchen wasn't stocked for service today. Greatly disappointing experience.

   Place was freezing cold. House wine was disappointing and seemed off. Meat was first class but because it was that cold the food went cold as well. Veg could off been better quality.

   Probably the best steak we have eaten. Superb quality meat, brilliantly cooked. Abs the burnt onion cream was a revelation. Will definitely be back.

   We had the most fantastic night at Taylor & Clay. We sat up at the grill to watch the chef’s at work it was just class. The ambiance was amazing, there’s a buzz about the place. The food was outstanding. I had the ribeye & my partner had monkfish it was all cooked to perfection! Our waitress was brilliant too! This is why we keep coming back! Credit to the whole team - well done all!

   We celebrated my graduation dinner here with family and could not have been happier. Food was first class, service was quick and the staff could not have been more helpful. I will definitely be back.

   I organised a christmas dinner for a medium to large sized party. The hotel were fantastic in allowing additions to the party size and ensuring our table was wheelchair friendly. Even though we ended up with a few less attendees than originally planned the restaurant again were extremely accommodating. The food was fantastic with rave reviews from the entire party and the service was wonderful too. I can't wait to return for a more intimate meal in the coming future.

    Friendly, knowledgeable staff able to recommend great choices on menu. Fillet steak snd monkfish mains were delicious, Good Guinness and great red wine
