Tequila Rio: Mexican Cantina, is located in the CBS Building in Wethersfield, alongside its sister restaurant, River: A Waterfront Restaurant & Bar. When weather permits, diners will be seated literally feet from the bank of the Connecticut River, offering sweeping, panoramic, and unparalleled views. The menu was created by a well-known New York celebrity Mexican Chef and features authentic Mexican dishes.

Our mouthwatering meals include tacos, tostadas, quesadillas, grilled salmon, and filet mignon with chimichurri sauce. See the full menu here. We also offer a full cocktail menu and the best frozen margaritas in Connecticut.

Since Putnam Park is an office building, most of the 600 parking spots are empty when it’s time for Happy Hour or dinner, so free parking is never a problem. Please remember, because there is so much parking, the lot could appear to be almost empty and yet there could be, literally, hundreds of people outside on the river, enjoying the party.

The Jungle Bar at Tequila Rio is really cool. Live 40 foot trees inside an indoor atrium with all kinds of live tropical looking plants surrounding the tables. This is what they use when they’re inside instead of on the Connecticut river outside due to bad weather. Great room, great food, great Margs.

Went for HH and sat at their new outside bar. Same fabulous river views and bar seating is always my favorite. Great Guac and Salsa and Chicharones.

For someone that isn’t the biggest fan of Mexican food to begin with not only did this place exceed expectations but has become a favorite in a matter of minutes! The nachos are something that I know I will be craving tomorrow! Service was great and honestly most bang for your buck especially considering its location. I will be back religiously!

The TR Burrito is a new menu item and it is designated "spicy". It has short ribs, poblano peppers rice and beans, etc. and an absolutely delicious spicy sauce! I highly recommend this! The TR along with a margarita and I'm in heaven.

I had been before for dinner, but yesterday I went for happy hour. It is definitely one of the best happy hours in the area. I ordered the chicken chili nachos and couldn’t believe how great they tasted and the portion size and the unbelievably good price! This will become my go to place.I highly recommend it.
