I brought a group of colleagues from out of town here and it was a great experience. They loved the food and could not stop talking about it afterwards. Our waiter was just fantastic!

Have been here several times and loved the beef brisket. Not this time. It mostly fat and what wasn’t fat was heavily marbled so it tasted like fat. Brussels spouts were so greasy they didn’t taste healthy. Very disappointing

Had the special flank steak with chimichurry which was great. We always start with a brisket egg roll which is always incredible

The inside of the restaurant was quiet because it was empty. There was one other table of people. We returned to this restaurant for the first time since Covid because they sent me an email that said their “Meaty Monday experience is back! For just under $20 indulge in our delectable meat sampler…” The photo they used for the platter showed three ribs and multiple meats, including a half chicken - the same platter as they had on Mondays before Covid. However, the pictured platter is not what their $20 meal deal is. They are offering a tiny portion of that for their Monday special. In addition, once I pointed this out to the manager, he said the photo in the email was a promotional photo they did for the Washington Post, and the platter was actually not what they intended to serve with this offer. In other words, it was a “bait and switch” offer.We left and went straight up the road to Rocklands BBQ for a great meal.

Family of 6 shared the large platter with Mac n cheese and brussel sprouts for the sides. Service was great, food was delicious, and there was a plenty for everyone. Would absolutely go again when we’re visiting the area.

This is the first time I’ve been disappointed by Texas Jacks. Usually their beef rib is full of meat but this time the rib was either not rendered properly or way tooo fatty. We barely got any meat.
