Food was good but service was not great. Our waiter tried his best, but they should've had 2 people covering our section. I stacked our plates on the table waiting for them to come collect. The owner (?) was not friendly. He greeted us and sat us but wasn't welcoming. I also witnessed him telling the woman who was clearing the tables/setting up new tables to hurry up. She was trying her best but she was the only person covering multiple tables. Felt sad for her to be scolded out in the open like that. We went at 530 so we expected it to move a little faster as we were in before the dinner rush. Food was good though.

Thassos is a place where families go to have a nice weekend dinner, and so do dates, singles and friends. We made a reservation on Saturday morning on Opentable, and got a 5:30 reservation for 2 in a room that was pretty quiet, and we had the option to sit in a booth. Nice start! We have been here before with family and friends, so we decided just to pick several appetizers to sample more than just two entrees. Our picks--shared a greek salad to start, then ordered charbroiled sardines (great if you love fish), dolmades (stuffed grapevine leaves with minced meat and rice in light lemon sauce) and spanokopita (crispy baked phyllo with feta and spinach inside). Perfect amount of food for the two of us. I had a glass of wine and spouse had a soda. Bill before tax and tip was about $70. I would recommend dining early to avoid a noisy environment because Thassos does get busy after 6 pm.

Was originally placed in a corner next to a plant. I was allowed to switch to a nicer booth once I requested. Main course took some time to come out and wasn’t what I expected portion wise. The food tasted good and servers were pleasant. Not a bad experience at all.

This was my family’s first visit to Thassos but it will not be our last. The food was fabulous - we had mostly traditional items including saganaki, different kabobs, salads, beer and wine. Our waiter was fantastic and the ambience just right for our group. The prices were reasonable for the quality and amount of food. Definitely try Thassos if you haven’t! A real gem in Clarendon Hills!

We had a late Valentine’s Day celebration combined with our wedding anniversary. I selected Thassos as our place of celebration, and oh how we felt like royalty! The food- just incredible. The service- best you’ll find in Chicago. The drinks? - better than those I’ve had at restaurants in New York or Denver. Such a romantic setting for our special day and I can’t thank Thassos enough for the beautiful memories we have created there.. Do yourself a favor and make a reservtaion, because this place has always been packed when I’ve been here and it’s no surprise! I can’t stop thinking about that Shrimp appetizer with red sauce and feta!! Out of this world!!

The food was delicious and our waiter was attentive without being overbearing. I had the Greek chicken and the lemon soup. I would order both again. I would recommend.
